Camaro inventory, 31,600 (120 Days) and no sign of gGM cutting Grand River production...

Around 80% of those Camaros are 1LT and 2LT I-4T and V6 cars and now GM wants to add a 1LS.

I'm calling it, GM's marketing of its Alpha based products is terrible, they've gone three for three on this.

Nothing wrong with the basic design or performance of the cars - that's not the problem, GM took a sound

idea and screwed the pooch royally with cars that should have put them over the top with customers.

and here we are again with a veritable flood of I-4 T and V6 Alphas that just seem very hard to sell...

and GM want to add yet another version at the bottom....

Ford continues to insist that they're matching production to the sales rates. No question that Ford will do its usual year-end push to maintain F-Series sales leadership but at what point do they justify a 120 day supply? Of course, one has to consder the F-Series profit potential as part of the scenario. But still, a 120 day supply?

As for the sudden Flat Rock shut down next week to reduce Mustang inventory as a result of the September sales drop... One has to wonder why they aren't keeping the plant running to produce Mustangs for export to better meet the demand in those markets. It would seem that Ford is keeping export production to a limited level in order to protect the market value, profits, etc.

Regarding Ford marketing incentives, Ford continues its practice of being very, very conservative when it considers retail rebate incentives to the point where they're willing to lose business to the competition if it doesn't meet the profit objectives. Over the years Ford has lost 40% of it's overall market share and once those customers are lost it's much more difficult to get them back. No question, Ford has its best product line-up ever thanks to Alan Mulally but the Ford executives have quickly forgotten everything that Mulally taught them and gone back to their old habits. Just my two cents!

Where are you getting 120 days from?

The last couple of months F Series has been at 93-95 days...

Trucks and SUvs are the gravy makers, I bet they protect them to the last man..
