madime39
While I agree with the sub pay debacle, you don't have to contribute, just opt out. It's bullshit that we have to do that now.
JT32
its really not that big of a deal, just opt out. the vast majority of companies do this already. And if you have such passion about these 2 topics, i expect to see you at the union meeting tomorrow at noon...
niteeyes
you would think in a case where some dumb ass says fuck you to Ford and the UAW, They would have a pretty good case for firing his stupid ass.
pmooret
Not anymore, now a person can protest what they consider to be an injustice in any fashion that they choose. They can riot in streets, refuse to stand during the playing of "The Star Spangled Banner", whatever suits their fancy, all with the blessing of the president. MTP'er
When Ford fucks with your unemployment by saying your layed off for the hold month instead of just 2 weeks because there to lazy to specify which week's, so yes fuck you Ford. And when the union knows about it and does nothing, yes fuck you UAW. You can't collect sub unless you file for unemployment. And when your unemployment is fucked up all you get is finger pointing. So yes fuck you to niteeyes!

fuzzymoomoo
Is it so wrong to want what is owed to you to be paid in a timely manner?

MTP'er
Ford has certain expectations of me and I do of them. If I don't do what Ford expects of me I get written up, and if Ford don't do what I expected of them oh well. By the way 182 my house has been paid off and so my house on the lake up north along with my boats quads and also sent 4 kids thru college. hee haw
Is it so wrong to want what is owed to you to be paid in a timely manner? Someone who doesn't complain about late payment of wages, yes sub is part of your wage package, probably would break any other part of the agreement. Dayshift
I think expecting your pay on time is a legitimate gripe and not just complaining. If paperwork got screwed up then this was just a mistake and should not happen again. If it was done intentionally, for convenience or whatever, then I think your plant chairman should be addressing it and should inform everyone he has commitments from Ford it will not happen. If your Plant Chairman seems disinterested in this type of thing then I suggest you work actively next election to get you a new one. I also think if you are not living check to check then a couple of weeks should be no big deal. Unless you are a new hire (or have had some type of medical tragedy or something) you should have at least a months salary saved. I know everyone's situation is different, but in this industry you better have some long term savings or things can get very tight. Loosing a transmission or getting sick or Ford delaying your check should not strap you financially. I try to keep 3 months savings at all time for just this type of emergency so I don't sweat the small stuff..
MTP'er
This is what the union said, instead of doing individual weeks Ford put the whole month as lay off. So when this happens you have to waive the weeks you weren't laid off and if you do more than one week you have to call. Which in turn delays your unemployment, which then delays your sub. This is nothing but laziness on Fords behalf nothing more or less.
