Ford edge 0ver 180 000 miles

Hello i would like to buy Ford edge 2007 but it's have over 180 000miles.and the price is 5k. And i need advice. A really like the car but i don't know it is good idea buy car with this high milage. Can someone help me out. thank you.

I have a 2008 Focus with 181k miles on it and the drivetrain is still solid as a rock. There's another poster here with a 09 Focus with 183k miles and he says the same thing. Both of us even have the original clutches. Take it to someone you trust to get checked out but I can't think of a reason why you shouldn't go for it.

Check out macbwt over at the Edge forum. He put over 250K on an Edge and is currently at 150K on his second one. He has tons of info and videos.

As with any used car, it can be a gamble. However, if it looks good, runs good, and mechanically checks out, then your risk is lower. The only thing I would make sure of is the water pump is not leaking externally or internally to the engine. There is a possibility it has been changed. Other than that the edge is a pretty good vehicle.
