It appears that every car that Chrysler (now owned by Fiat) posted in June is in negative sales compared to previous year. Not sure what your point was ,other than forgetting to proclaim that part of your post.
Anthony
It appears that every car that Chrysler (now owned by Fiat) posted in June is in negative sales compared to previous year. Not sure what your point was ,other than forgetting to proclaim that part of your post. What my point was? I believe you are referring to the press release I posted without personal comment? Like we do every month for sales releases? Edited July 1, 2016 by Anthony
akirby
The total FCA sales for June 2016 is 7% higher than total FCA sales for June 2015. That's what the press release says. What is your point?
grbeck
FCA's total sales are up, as others have noted, so the headline is accurate. As customers move away from passenger cars to light trucks and crossovers, the weaker entries in the segment suffer first. It's no surprise that FCA's passenger cars are experiencing a serious decline in sales. The same thing happened to the old, old Chrysler Corporation in the 1970s. As customers moved away from full-size cars, it was the full-size offerings from Chrysler Corporation - particularly the Dodge and Plymouth versions - that suffered earliest. It's no surprise that FCA's passenger cars are experiencing a serious decline in sales. That's the truth, every Ford & Lincoln car is down YTD. As a matter of fact the only domestic cars that are up YTD are the Volt, the Malibu and the 300 (well, the SS is too, but since it only sells in the hundreds, I don't think it really counts). EVERYTHING else is down.
atomcat68
I think there is a big fork in Fiat. I wonder who is the one owner of a 124 Spider. It wasn't me. I think that saved the brand for this month. Edited July 1, 2016 by atomcat68

630land
Dodge's increase was due to the old minivans getting "blow out" sales #'s. If sales are good, why are they begging for a partner to merge? But also, don't dismiss car sales, Honda is on a roll with new Civic. It's that Fiat cant compete in price sensitive segments, so they poo-poo them and say 'we will just build trucks then. Jeep buyers will empty wallets to look "cool", but compact car buyers will search for what is the best buy. How long can Jeep stay fashionable when they get too common and trendies move on?
