anjen
Have a 2008 Expedition EL. When the car is starting to move it sounds like there is water on the AC side of the car under the hood. It sounds like "swishing". It does not seem to affect anything and has been like this for quite some time. Any ideas on what it could be? It is most noticeable when are going from a stop because I think the motion of the vehicle is what causes it to move.
transitman
2010 Fusions had a similar problem and there are a hundred or so pages discussing a sloshing sound. It seems that it's caused by air in the coolant system. Some had a system purge done (including myself) and it solved the issue in about 20% of the cars. It takes more than a coolant replacement, the system needs to have the air forced out, it doesn't affect the operation, more of a nuisance. Check here: www.fordfusionforum.com and search sloshing sound.
