Lane Keeping = Dash Cam Capable? (2016 F150)

The lane keeping system used in the 2016 F150 uses a front facing camera located near the rear view mirror. The first thing I thought of asking is whether or not this front facing camera can be used as an integrated Dashcam. This would seem like a natural application extension, especially since the truck already has an SD memory reader. So far, there is no mention of this camera being used in this way (as a dashcam) that I can find. Yet, it would seem to be a great capability to make available since the HW is already there.

Anybody know if this is possible?

So more like sonar or radar?

I don't know the specifics. There is a very powerful graphics processor in there. I don't know what is in there specifically but Mobileye reads speed limit signs and passes along the numeric value. For lane lines it probably passes vectors showing the location of the lines. My 2013 Fusion has it but as far as I can determine it only passes along the location of the lane lines.
