CindyKrickbaum Posted June 3, 2016 Share Posted June 3, 2016 Out of nowhere, the chrome on the door handle split on the top and pealed a little bit down the back side. Unnoticed by me, until it about cut the pad of my middle finger off completely. Talk about the ultimate paper cut. It's an '09 Edge. Is there a recall of some sort on these? Gigi Posted December 11, 2016 Share Posted December 11, 2016 Earlier this year, both the driver and passenger door handles on our 2009 Mercury Milan peeled and sliced our fingers. Painful. I had to wrap the handles with little sleeves made out of a brown paper sack. Didn't want to use tape because of the possibility of stickiness during the summer. And now just this week the interior driver door handle broke. From what I've read online, these problems are extremely common on the Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan. Google it.
