I just traded my Lincoln MKS AWD for a 2015 Escape Titanium. The MKS had 255/45R19" tires. Hard ride and useless in Canadian winters. I replaced them with All Season, 225/65R17. Much better ride and good in snow. 1 mph difference at 70 mph. Still have the All Seasons and am wondering what problems can I expect if they are put on the Escape. The All Seasons are 1.2" higher than the tires now on the Escape. There was a difference of .48" with the MKS.

Since the over diameter is really close, I don't see why it would cause a problem as far as warranty goes. If you were running 22's or something way off course, maybe. But 17's are available on Escapes. So it should be fine.

I've only driven my Titanium with 19's. So I can't comment on the handling differences.
