$900million investment retracted?

Supposedly the rumor around cap is that Ford has taken away the 900million dollar investment it said it was going to put in this plant. So for one has anybody heard this and two is it possible?

Can`t speak to all the (continuous, never ending) rumors. But there is definitely something in the air......

Plant received "OKeedoekee" to proceed. (Benny not to happy but...)

2017 Pilot Production stage started in paint 21 March.

Complete reversal of some structure changes. Final and MP&L will be putting everything back to current model build. Hmmm PVT once again (gotta love these knuckle heads)

At this point 29 May will see the balance out of the 385.

Planning stages for elevating 502 numbers per hour. All line capacity given up by the 385 will be filled with the 502.

As of today, VO planning staff and VO engineers still can be seen all over and in some of the most out of the way places of paint.(Body too)

Numbers are still on the increase for Exports and Platinum model numbers are projected at higher then the 385 numbers.

PVT 2018 & 2020 mapping meetings in full swing.

OH... the 502 sent to KTP is back. That trial was completed at where? CAP.

Possible force, behind the rumors, this is gone or that is gone.... lets see? "If so and so dosn`t get elected" then you might loss the "900 mill"..... "If so and so dose gets elected" then the promises can be fulfilled annnnd CAP will be saved. BAMMMM look how the construction has restarted. (ever really stop?)

For the record, PLEASE get the dam ball rollin FRAP!!! I for one can`t wait to see the 385 go. Make that fricken Lincoln... will yaaaa!!!!

CAP`ers look around. If it smells like it, tastes like (sheep shit) it.... then, yes sir reeeeee it`s (drum roll please) "Chicago POLITIC`S" :love_shower: love is in the air....

FYI, you guys will be losing your Lincoln several months before we begin building ours...

Yep, just speed it up, will yaaa`s :)

What is marketing thinking? Take a full size platform and leave it to die of BOREDOM..... then get the hype out there just to take forever to replace it with the smaller but ALL NEW and IMPROVED version?

Maybe McConaughey will be able to get a couple more puppies to ride around with him to looking for a place to eat....to hype up the all new "full" size Lincoln Sedan? Sure made me want a Lincoln...

Oh believe me, I want them to speed it up too, but for totally different reasons.

The sooner they get to Job 1, the more likely it is FRAP becomes my permanent home. As noted many times, I'm tired of being stuck in limbo, and recent news from people in the know puts that being the case until sometime well into 2017.

But they're working For us....

I hear you fuzzy.

That is one of the reasons I stated that. I keep hearing from VO`ers that things are not going very smooth with your launch. I for one hope you and FRAP finally get a ton of orders across your product line.

Hang in there, hopefully you`ll be home. Permanently.

I saw an article a few days ago stating that there was about 30,000 potential orders for the Continental in the US alone, not including standard dealer stock the way I understood the article. The order bank hasn't opened yet so no idea what that will translate to as far as actual orders but it's a promising start. I have a theory about a potential shift addition but I don't want to get too far into that right now in a public forum.

I wouldn't say things aren't going smooth per se, but yeah, there have been some pretty major growing pains. This car is proving to be more complicated to build than they they thought it would be.

Your plant stands on the same door step as many other "order laden plant`s", when those orders start moving from projection to reality you too will see the plain and simple fact. Additional labor and/or additional shifts will become reality. Unfortunately there are still those that get lead by their noses (baaa baaa rumor eater`s) but, it is fact and very obvious, especially here at CAP that there is no other reason why added labor or added shifts of production are implemented. Some of us, may have got our interview because you`re a friend of a friend or family member or been doing as you are told BUT, Orders, Orders, Orders make the Ford world go round. Nothing else, not a bargaining unit, not salaried team members or the VO`ers can fill those orders. They can help or hinder "our" filling of the orders but truthfully and the facts are out in the open here at CAP... we, you, him, her and me fill those orders that make the Ford world go round. An un realized strength by the represented order filler`s.....

I can only hope that the FRAP`ers are at a point in a year or so that CAP is at now and has been for a few years now.... the order basket is over flowing!!!! I also hope your salaried team and representative team can handle all and I mean all the growing pains that come with a basket full of orders. CAP.....? well... not so much....

Your welcome, Redwings_rule. Any word on a date of release?

I got word from 2 bargaining reps last week at FRAP that we should be hearing from our PC's soon about going back to MAP. The people retiring have to be gone by May 1st

Not saying that's iron clad or anything, just info I got from 2 BR's at FRAP.

I

Fort Wayne Indiana?

Ford has just bought a large plot of land just east of Broadway and boarders Cline Ave., north of the Indiana Tollway. There will be a covered walk way through Dean Michel power plant property with smoking hut`s along the way to the new rest and break area`s right on the lake. Ford states that if they get the reopened local agreement in place, the company will set up fishing area`s with an Indiana D.N.R. land owners variance so the employee`s won`t need a fishing license. Also if Ford opens the local agreement an its agreed that Ford CAP is allowed to do as they please, they will provide heated smoking huts for the fall and winter Coho run. One other benefit if this new agreement is put in place there would be "Free Parking" for all employee`s at the Gary airport. Quarterly perfect attendance awards will be a $25 gift card to the boats with free shuttle service to the boats for those employee`s with perfect attendance for the full quarter, if Ford and the UAW local agree on the new agreement.

Ahhhh Back Home in Indiana
