2017 Fusion Titanium

Yes, I do have a DORA. I have been checking at http://www.cotusb.ford.com/occasionally to see if we are getting close. I hope not to put too many more miles on my 2014 Fusion Hybrid.

I am just ready to see Unscheduled/Clean as an update!

A DORA is good news, at least you're in line. What's the concern with miles on the Hybrid, are you trading it in and if so, have you already negotiated a price? They should honor your agreement, regardless of how many more miles you put on. They knew it was going to be a while until the 2017 arrived. I'm about 2000+ miles under the average number of miles for my trade, so I have plenty of wiggle room before the number of miles could affect the trade in value. I asked and he said it wouldn't be an issue.

Ah, no negotiation for the cost, so as of now, no negotiation for trade. Just a question, could you have gotten a better deal than X-Plan if you had negotiated a price and played one offer off another at different dealerships? I ended up getting mine for invoice, or $1586 off of MSRP, but it helped to have an existing relationship with my dealership and salesman.

I will end up getting $1,931.24 off MSRP when it arrives. I live in a very rural area so the dealership choices are limited. My current dealer has always treated me fairly. I hope to get average trade for my 2014 when the new one gets here. Once it gets close, I will take it and let them bid on it. If the offer is too low, I will try to sell outright. We shall see!

Wow, that's a great deal. I was very disappointed with the trade in value of my Energi, but I had to trade because I need a car, selling myself and renting wasn't an option I wanted to deal with and I wanted to tack on to my new car loan the amount I was upside down rather than out of pocket. I hope your Hybrid has held better value.

I'm a little disappointed. I requested from ford.com a brochure for the Fusion and it came today. In the past it has always included a discount coupon, not this time. It's actually very sparse on details. When dealer stock arrives, the brochure might pique curiosity and get folks to come to the dealership to check it out. Once you get 'em through the door, you can to sell 'em anything on the lot.

I had a $750 cash offer from Ford that we just used on my wife's 2016 Explorer. My experience with new (refreshed) models is they do not offer the good interest rates, rebates or any incentives until they have been on the market for at least a few months. We got 0.0% on the Explorer and could not turn that deal down. Love the new Platinum over the 2014 Limited. What a difference. Happy to see Ford making quality vehicles.

I put a little extra down when I bought the Hybrid so unless the bottom drops out of it or the market, I should be in good shape.

2017 Fusion retail order will not start scheduling until the "OK to Buy" status is reached which is usually about the time the initial shipping release or about 6 weeks after the Job #1 Date.

Is it likely that the OK to buy order will be issued sooner because the 2017 has only minor body changes, or are cars held because it's a new model year.

  • 4 weeks later...

Late availability. Start looking later in the summer for those to start popping up.

I figured as much. The website stated "Available Summer 2016" - so I'm assuming August...

But do you think it would actually be later than that, like would it go into late September or October and miss the Labor Day Sales events?

It's hard to say. They're pretty quiet on when exactly stuff is supposed to start showing up on dealer lots.

Have you been given an expected delivery date yet? I want to order a Fusion Sport and there seems to be very little information out there on those!

Just communicated with him last Friday and my car is still Unscheduled - Clean. As discussed in another topic, retail orders most likely won't begin for 2-4 weeks. One step forward is the 2017 has been moved from future vehicles to the Ford web site and the Sport is included on the build and price page.
