transitman
I have a paint color question and thought I would start a general discussion topic here because this thread gets a lot more views and responses. I've made contact with my sales guy and he's going to send me some numbers on the Fusion I've configured. I have purchased two cars from him at invoice and last time I had an X-Plan PIN and he beat that price. Can someone familiar with the paint color White Gold tell me if the color in my link is an accurate representation, or is it more off white with hints of gold. In the 360 viewer on the same site, it looks completely different. http://shop.ford.com/build/fusion/2017/#/config/Config[|Ford|Fusion|2017|1|1.|202A.P0H..GN...NRD.90A.99D.NONFLEET.60N.] Here's the car I'm looking at ordering. 2017 SE, FWD White Gold 1.5L, 202A SE Luxury Pkg Driver Assist Pkg SE Technology Pkg Navigation Edited February 28, 2016 by transitman
transitman
Let me throw this out there. I got a quote from my guy. The car's MSRP is $29455, he gave me his "invoice" price of $27873 or $1582 off MSRP, thoughts??

Invoice would be around $27,500. That's with a $1500 rebate on both the MSRP and the X plan and invoice prices.
630land
With all these "XYZ plans", how does Ford make any money?
transitman
With all these "XYZ plans", how does Ford make any money? Because it cost about $18,000 - $20,000 to build a $30,000 car
Pioneer
Check out the picture I posted in this thread. The White Gold doesn't look like they have it in the color guide. http://www.blueovalforums.com/forums/index.php?/topic/60715-2017-ford-fusion-sport-exterior-color-guide/&do=findComment&comment=967102

transitman
The car has been ordered. He said I was the first to order and it should be a priority code of 10 with an estimated delivery date of early June. The waiting is the hardest part... akirby
The dealer sets the priority, so not sure why he said it "should be" a 10. Maybe he meant that's what the sales mgr would assign. Either way - congrats.

I wonder how many have been ordered across the country.
akirby
that may not actually be true. They won't build yours until ok to buy is given. The. First ones built are dealer stock. They could be built, inspected and shipped a little before yours but probably not much. It's also possible for those early build cars to be held for weeks so it's better to wait an extra week or two. fuzzymoomoo
My personal rule of thumb for buying a new model in the first model year is wait 6 months. Let some of the kinks work out at the plant before they make it to me. I felt that way long before I started working on the line.
Trader 10
The 2017 Fusion is just a refresh with no sheet metal changes. I doubt they will hold early builds very long if at all considering the lack of any major changes.
Trader 10
I should have added no major changes outside of the addition of the Sport model (which is not the model transit an ordered).

The 2015 Focus got held for almost 6 weeks before the OK to buy was given, and that was relatively minor changes too.

I thought that too, especially after the launches of the 2013 Escape, 2012 Focus... Other than SYNC 3, the dial shifter and redesigned headlights and tails, there are no changes other than to some features added and option packages reconfigured. transitman
I was going through some old download files and came across the Source Book for the 2013 Escape. Is a Source Book available for the 2017 Fusion and can a downloadable version be posted here or in the Order Guides thread?
630land
If it's a new design, yes wait, but just restyle, make sure nothing that could break down is changed.
transitman
If it's a new design, yes wait, but just restyle, make sure nothing that could break down is changed. Other than the corners, grille, fog lights and shifter, it's all the same. So much, I'm thinking of buying a 2016 trunk liner and Husky mats before my car is even built. Stephen White
Hey, there. Was wondering if anyone might know whether Ford is planning any incentives on the new Fusion, specifically the SE. I am seriously considering ordering one equipped with similar options to transitman (but with Enhanced Parking Assist, as well). I got a quote of $28,800 which is $2691 off MSRP. I'd love to get down to $28,000. Anybody know? This would be my first Fusion, BTW. Thanks!
fuzzymoomoo
Future incentives are kept quieter than the amount of money in Fort Knox. You're just going to have to be patient and wait and see when the new model arrives
