Do I get to keep my original start date of May 8th 2001?

Pilots strike Lufthansa for 24 hours, grounding 65,000 passengers. Employees seek raises of up to 35%.
The FDA approves the first in a new class of designer cancer drugs. The drug is Gleevec – also known as ST1571.

36th Annual CMA Awards - Toby Keith gets top male vocalist of the year and top album for “How Do You Like Me Know?” The Dixie Chicks got entertainer of the year. Keith Urban and Jamie O’Neal won top new male and female artists. Brooks & Dunn – best vocal duo.
Coup – The MTV Movie Awards will feature Christina Agullera, Lil’ Kim, Mya and Pink and the Dave Matthews Band. All but Dave Matthews will perform “Lady Marmalade” from the Moulin rouge movie.
