JT32
Please someone explain to me how Ford can start testing for Dearborn Assembly new hires while so many from MAP are still out on ILO and some are at other plants working LTS assignments... Shouldn't full time employees be placed first before new hires come in off the street? I asked a bargaining Rep today and he told me they just found out yesterday and have asked international UAW with no response yet. And no this isn't a rumor, testing was today, a friend of mine was part of it and was told it is for Dearborn Assembly
fuzzymoomoo
They're probably for summer help and they don't intend on them being made permanent But then again, right before we were laid off DTP made a bunch of LTS permanent and the union let it happen. So basically fuck you, that's why.
caustic
They're probably for summer help and they don't intend on them being made permanent But then again, right before we were laid off DTP made a bunch of LTS permanent and the union let it happen. So basically fuck you, that's why. Some of those LTS's at DTP that got converted had been an LTS for a while. What you should be pissed about are the hire groups from late November of 2014 and early December of 2014 that came in off the street with no LTS time what so ever, most of them friends of some one in the union or management. Specifically a useless female who's mother is a Process Coach and an even more useless male that has an uncle in IUAW. Tested each two months before hire and hired in straight to entry level, quite a few LTS's you speak of got hired in with the same seniority date as the two idiots above but having been in yhe plant as an LTS from 6-10 months. liqudspine
There are MAP employees on ILO? are you trying to tell me they didn't have a choice to come to DTP over a year ago and chose layoff instead and your bitching about it? (not DAP that plant has been closed since 2004). But lets see; 1. buyouts about to take effect 2. Livonia will need people shortly 3. Summer coverage about to begin and most supplemental employees have been hired already I doubt there are many currently in STS status and Ford will need bodies within the year, that's why testing is going on. JT32
Im talking about all of the employees from MAP who did choose to keep working at other plants, like myself, who is still working on LTS assignment. I don't think its right to hire people off the street while all of us are at other plants as LTS. We should be placed permanently first. There's people from MAP that got an ILO just after thanksgiving that WEREN'T offered transfer/assignment, not just those of us who were cut at the end of June. liqudspine
Even after the MAP people on ILO or temp assignments are permanently placed there will still be a need for more people, keep in mind not only are there buyouts coming soon, there are also people that will be moving to trades. The churn over the next year will be big and their will be a need after that to fill empty holes. What was done was initial testing non of them have been placed this is being done in preparation for this coming year, really no reason to panic that's all im saying.
