Beeping Under Hood (when car is off) - 2014 SE Hatch

Weird thing happened today. I parked my car (2014 Hatch SE) and came outside about a half hour later and heard a beeping noise every 30 seconds or so. After pinning down that it was coming from my car, I lifted the hood and figured out it was coming from there.

It sounds like it is coming from the passenger side of the car. I've never heard this before.

I did a search online and saw a number of other people have had this issue, but nobody seems to have figured out what it was?

I had just returned from the car wash (I noted in another thread someone had just washed their car).

Here's a video:

No, it is definitely an electrical based noise (may be hard to tell from the video).

The general consensus is that since this happens to people mostly after a car wash and stops a number of hours later is that that the water is shorting something (horns?). Perhaps each time the noise is made, it is water dripping on something creating a short.

It stopped a few hours after I took the video above.

From what I can hear it sounds like "reed" type noise. I.E. a radiator cap venting or another seal allowing gas around it. A couple hours is enough to cool off the cooling system enough to dissipate the pressure. Get a mechanics stethoscope and see where it is coming from. The horn is in the passenger front fender, lower and forward of where your video appeared to be.
