Jason Chappell
I am a auto tech struggling with a 08 Navagator that seems to dump the front bags when it wants. sometimes the right, sometimes the left. Then it sets a c1725 c1991 u2023 no bag leaks bench tested.. new solenoids new pump from ford. Even called out the mobile nerds that don't like to get dirty. They don't even know. Any help will be great
fordtech1
I don't think you have a 08 Navigator, that's the new body style and does not have front air suspension. Only rear. It's probably a 06. At any rate, they have spring cap issues. Best way to see if its a leak in the bag assy, turn the system off and drive it. See if it drops. If it does, then it has a leak. That will eliminate electronics. If it is a leak, most of the time, spring caps and O-rings most of the time fix it.
galaxie
Always reply. spring caps, notorious leakers, even if you don't find a leak. Make SURE the o-ring on the top of the shock piston has not rolled and that the shock piston shaft is not corroded (if it is corroded it will leak air pressure). After back together, do the "pneumatic" test first, then recalibrate.
