superjake
Yes really! Dumbass we could and should have done a lot better! Record profits, no raise for years and years. All the concession s and now what do we have? What did we really gain? We gained a little that we lost, that's all! Trend will continue next contract! I think that's sad for all, retirees included. superjake
Dark 270 solidarity has nothing to do with a signing bonus that is partially paid by your profit sharing! What a joke this so called signing bonus has become! Next contract maybe the UAW will negotiate an even higher signing bonus! And the company can garnish our checks for it weekly! That's basically what we got already! And you fools voted for it! And when the company opens contract back up? The UAW will be there to help, the company once again! The tick on the dog isn't good without the dog!
superjake
Anyone care to differ? That's what I thought!
Dayshift
oh i can do either! but i like giving it, in fact i like more then 6 inches! $8500.00 is $8500.00 no matter how you slice it. The $1500 advance on profit sharing was useless as far as I am concerned but if you a tier 2 trying to pay bills the advance may help out a lot. Remember the profit sharing formula is part of the formula as well. We just got some of it before we planned on getting it. I think we could have done better but name be a non-skilled, non-union employer who paid out over the past 3 years what the big 3 did. People I know who work in factories in Alabama & Mississippi work in crappy conditions for half what we make. The industries who pay well are either high skill jobs or Union industries. Stop complaining the company gave you your profit sharing early. If you don't need it now put it in the bank.
