We all stepped in it this time! Whether you voted yes or no. Its over the UAW will never be the same! To all who voted for it, don't cry about it a year or months from now when you spend all your so called signing bonus! Then what? Next time what plan will the UAW come up with to pass contracts? When will contract be opened up for another negotiation! When will your plant close? Where will you move next? How many UAW jobs are in the united states compared to thirty, twenty, ten, five years ago? You see my point! Good luck with your yes votes! They will be forgotten! As will the UAW, sadly.

Actually, there are more UAW jobs now than five years ago. As for your No vote, do you really believe it could have stopped any of the things you listed above??

Wouldn't they be more likely to keep jobs here with the 9 bil in investments? If they are going to open the contract could they not do it regardless of the contract we have?Just how much more do you think we were going to get?Enough to retire? We all know most manufacturing jobs are going to replaced with robots its just a matter of time. All this did was buy most of us more time that is why we all have to get a skill they cannot be outsourced or replaced with robotics so easily.

I get ya. But like I said, had never had any interest in any social media in any kind, but became alarmed with all the no votes. Basically shocked about how short sighted our workforce was. But I'll keep the account tho and pipe In at times. I get it now how people try pushing your buttons just to start an argument. People at my home location and area are pretty much like minded, so I starting posting when I realized the Local 900 was in potential danger and just because of where I was raised, ya don't take insults, period. So it was impossible not to lash out. Shit was costing me sleep. But I hear ya man. Good looking out.......

You keep talking but you're not saying anything? How did we step in it? Why won't we be the same?

Personally I'll spend my signing bonus/wage increase and then in 90 days i'll spend my profit sharing. 90 days after that is the June bonus. Then in roughly another 90 to 100 days, there's the 4% bonus. So that covers the first year.

I voted yes though I think the UAW could have got a little more.

I think FCA did the right thing and all tier 2 benefited from that. I would have voted no if we had been offered the crap FCA was first offered.

I think we got 80% to 90% of the max Ford would have given without a costly strike. Because of that I'm ok with this contract.

I think the UAW needs to be better in touch with its membership. Next time don't wait until a contract fails to ask what they think. Find out what the membership wants and fight hard for those things. Also inform the membership better. The UAW does a poor job of making its members feel they are a part of the process and that the UAW is there for them.

Does any care that your UAW brothers and sisters at Sterling and Rawsonville are getting the shaft???The 2 tier aren't getting 8yrs of raises and the legacy people are now considered SURPLUS.Thats why I voted No because soon it will be coming to a parts plant near you.Transmissions and engines are just parts you know.

So are stampings.

Just like Woodhaven. The whole SBU will be next......

Once it happens at engine and transmission plants then body shops, paint....then work force reduction in final assembly and everyone will be on over loaded jobs.

Fucking idiots just flushed the future down the shitter.

Let's face it, we knew the outcome before voting even started.

2019....12k signing bonus, 1800 inflation bonuses, 400 performance bonus, 1.25 per million profit sharing, engine and transmisson plants wages 17-23, traditional goes up $1.18, in progression goes to 10 years.

Oh well at least I can get some help with tuition so I can gtfo ny 2019.

I appreciate the people at CAP, KCAP, LAP that said no. Wish more would have showed some backbone.

That is why resolution forms are distributed a year before contracts are negotiated. For both the national and local agreements. These resolutions are then voted on locally and sent to the respective negotiators/sub committees. If employees actually took a few minutes to try and make a difference before hand, we would not have so much complaining later. I would bet money that Decker filled out and submitted some resolutions.

I wonder who submitted the resolution asking for $1500 of profit sharing in December

No idea. I am not sure what the issue is with the pull ahead. It is a benefit if you have paid off FICA in this calendar year, but a negative if you have already invested max in your TESPHE. Either way, this is a non issue for me. If this was why some voted yes or no, than employees need to step back and look at the big picture. There are many issues that are in need of fixing before we get involved in a discussion that has no big wins or losses.

Hello everyone

I attended the contract highlight meeting at my local (600) prior to us voting. Bernie Ricky was asked why the pull ahead that a majority did not see the need for. His response was that in the 2011 contract we had a $10,000 signing bonus and the negotiating team felt we would not settle for less this time around seeing how they pulled ahead $3,750 last time to get us to $10,000. Sounded like a lame answer to me....with the profits Ford is making we should have gotten $10,000 with no pull ahead.....I was a NO vote as well seeing as I am originally from Rawsonville and think that what has happened to them and Sterling as well as Woodhaven was bullshit.

Gear I went to two of those meetings at 600, both where jokes.

It's pathetic how they said "lack of education, we need to inform them better", then when asked questions 60% of the reps sighed, eyerolled, and got real snappy with people that asked questions.

A few of those reps have great answers, thoughtfully explained some answers in detail.

Then you have Bernie Ricke that acts like such a pompus windbag and talks down to everyone.

The one that annoys me the most at 600 is our plant used car salesman. Such a piece of shit.

The advance profit sharing was a crappy thing to implement IMHO.

It makes no sense unless its A) To entice people to ratify with the lure of cash or B) Maybe the union is deducting their "fee" from the advance profit sharing check in addition to the regular distribution next year resulting in two payments to the union from two checks instead of one.

If the union is taking money from both profit sharing distributions they increased their take 100%.

I guess we will see if the union withholds any funds from it on the 12/11/2015 distribution date.

Dues are deducted at 1.44%. It doesn't matter if it is one check for $10,000, or 10,000 checks for $1. It is going to be the same amount either way. There is no gain for the IUAW either way.

A chunk of money to close out the year snd balance books and a chunk next year for whatever it is the do with our money.

I see it as a benefit for them.

Next contract maybe we can ask for them to bring Visteon back! Close plants divide us all up, and large signing bonus and a lollipop! I am sure it would pass, after this contract! Damn can't wait! Sad that I am retiring soon and leaving these yes voters to destroy my retirement

That would be more credible if our dues were not raised and shifting millions of our dues paid dollars into their general spending fund.

Ok.I understand that they moved a chunk of money to bolster organizing but let's not act like they are living dues paycheck to paycheck.

I'm sure they are not, but let's face it once you get a taste of an endless supply of anything it's hard to not binge, over dose, or whatever you want to call it.

They'll spend it as fast as it comes in so they want it coming in as often as possible.
