IggyAZ
It's time to look at a replacement vehicle. I have looked at the 2015 EDGE but the prices are stable and not really offering much here in Arizona. My plan is to hold out for the new 2016 for a Titanium FWD with the V6. Unless if someone can talk me out of it I'm sticking with the V6 as a little more hp and torque is good. Anyway, has anyone heard for sure if the 2016 will get the Sync 3.0 or not? Not much published yet if it will or not. After reading here that 2016 EDGE should be at dealers in January will be great! I do plan on trying to get a X-Plan code to help a little. This will be my 10the or 11th Ford so I guess I'm family for sure. lol If anyone has any information on the 2016 Edges I'm here. Thanks Iggy in the cool part of Arizona. davidceder
I also am planning on a 2016. The fleet sheet and everything I read on-line says Sync 3 will indeed be in the 2016 along with adaptive power steering. If Sync 3 is not I am not going to buy it. I already have MyTouch in my Super Duty and don't want the same thing. If you look around in the forum you can easily get the 2016 Fleet order guide. I am going for the sport. Want something that will be fun. Going to the International Auto show next week in Phoenix. I live in Payson. If you belong to Costco you might try their car buying service. I was quoted $400.00 under invoice for a 2015 Sport by Chapman Ford. You can always join for $50.00.
IggyAZ
Thanks David. If it doesn't have Sync 3 I don't plan on buying either. I will check the fleet order guide. Not sure what dealer I will use but Sanderson Ford usually has a big selection when they arrive. Didn't think about going to the auto show but may consider that. Thanks John in Surprise. akirby
Yes it gets sync 3. Look for the 2016 order guide in this forum - it has all the details.
IggyAZ
Did you see the new 2016 Edge at the car show last week?
theoldwizard
2 things from my wish list that did NOT make the (preliminary) 2016 Order Guide. - 2.7L EcoBoost available in more than just the Sport model - Add a HD towing package (obviously w/2.7L EcoBoost) 5,000 lbs ? IggyAZ
I agree with your remarks about the 2.7L only being available in the Sport.I did find that the Lincoln MKX you get the larger engine as standard but you pay a lot more for the car. akirby
At least you can get all of the options on the Sport model now. Pre-2015 some things were available on the Titanium but not the Sport like HIDs.
IggyAZ
akirbyThe only thing that I hesitating to buy a sport is that it has the stiffer suspension. It looks as if I may consider the Lincoln MKX which has the higher hp V6 and lots of extras ylu can't get on the Edge. Time will tell which way I plan to go.Do you think the Lincoln MKX has a quieter interior from road noise?
akirby
Yes the MKX will be a little quieter but it's also quite a bit more expensive. Have you driven a 2015 sport? I don't think the suspension is that much stiffer but I haven't driven it myself.
davidceder
IggyAZ; No, they did not have a 2016. Had a black Sport and a White Titanium, both 2016. As of now I am getting the vehicle through Chapman Ford in Scottsdale using the Costco program which should be Invoice minus $400.00 or so and any incentive which are at ")" right now. Hope some incentive comes along.
davidceder
I meant to say both cars at the show were 2015's. Sorry
IggyAZ
Did you buy it thru Costco and delivery thru Chapman Ford in Scottsdale? Which model you getting? The Titanium with what extras? What price range is the car in if you don't mind telling. Thanks Iggy in Surprise AZ
