I think you're seeing a company that waited until they had patched all of the holes in their global lineup and consolidated platforms and developed an entire line of ecoboost engines and hybrids and now that they're solidly profitable they're going after the stuff they want to build. 12 performance models: Current: Fiesta ST, Focus ST, Focus RS, Mustang GT350, Mustang GT350R (separate model?), Raptor, Taurus SHO Announced: Ford GT Sure thing: Mustang GT500 That's 9 - what are the other 3? Fusion ST is the only remaining car and lots of goodies are available from the MKZ like electronically adjustable suspension with 2.3L and 2.7L drivetrains.
