jwillum
Does anyone have any clue why there is no Sync 3 system in the 2016 Fusion? Consumer Reports (and others) continually rip Ford over the old system and they put the new system in the Fiesta but not the Fusion. Makes no sense to me. Because 2016 is just a holdover until the refresh next year.
ReboundTheCat
I was wondering if it had to do with the fact that the fusion has the smaller screens behind the steering wheel that would have to be redesigned to match the new colors/menus of the new sync 3. i dont think the escape has that...not sure about the other vehicles that have sync3.... akirby
I don't think it's the screen design per se, but certainly getting the integration to work with those extra controls could be more time consuming.
jwillum
Because 2016 is just a holdover until the refresh next year. There were certainly no real changes to the Escape or Fiesta for 2016.

Refresh coming next year as well I have no answer for the Fiesta other than it is what it is at this point.
expresspotato
I'd probably pay $1,000 - $2,000 USD for the APIM update if someone were able to program it to my VIN / feature set (fully loaded energi in canada)... I'm sure there will be someone who can do it considering the profit potential with millions of MFT units out there that are probably pin compatible.
