Stentgraft95
I posted in the Tech section at the bottom of the forums page about an issue I had with my MKZ, but I don't think there's a lot of foot traffic down there. Anyway, my question involves the stalk. As I recall prior to having my car repaired my turn signal was in essence a momentary switch. I fully comprehend the lane changing feature but that's not what I'm referring to. When I would proceed to make a turn and would engage the stalk it always immediately returned to the center but the turn signal would remain flashing until I completed the turn. Now after the repair it acts like a an old turn signal and remains locked up or down depending on the direction I'm turning. Can anyone confirm that the stalk at least used to be a momentary type switch? The only reason I ask is because I don't think everything is correct because the turn signal will not always shut off unless a "hard" turn has been completed. I know I will have to return it to the dealer but I just want to convey all of the facts at least as I recall prior to the repair of the issue. flyboy767
You are correct, the stalk itself should return to neutral.
