KonaBlue
I'm trying to decide on buying a 2015 Ford Flex or waiting to order a 2016 model. I've seen various posts suggesting that there will be a few new colors available on the 2016 model. Is anyone aware of any other differences? Thanks! ice-capades
Don't expect to see any official information on the 2016MY Flex until about 10/12/2015 when the USOB (Unscheduled Order Bank) is scheduled to open. Scheduling begins on 11/12/2015 with a Job #1 Date for initial production set for 12/07/2015.
Gorgonzola
There are preview brochures at the Ford Fleet web site. For the 2016 Flex: http://www.fleet.ford.com/resources/ford/general/pdf/brochures/2016/2016+Flex.pdf If I read it right, the big change is Sync 3 (hardware and software), and for colors, delete Tuxedo Black, Deep Impact Blue, Guard; add Shadow Black, Kona Blue, Too Good to be Blue.
ice-capades
Ford can't roll out SYNC 3 fast enough and they can update color choices for the 2016 Flex but nothing will change the Flex's niche status and low sales rate.
KonaBlue
Gorgonzola - Thanks for this update! I was hoping the 2.7 L Ecoboost would be available in the 2016, but I"m not surprised that doesn't look like it will happen. Again, thanks. ice-capades - I found this link http://www.arifleet.com/publications/build-out_start-up_dates/which is completely consistent with the 2016 Flex production schedule you posted earlier
