dovaseric
Hello Ford people, I'm looking for information on the following Ford manufacturing facilities. Is the Cleveland Engine Plant No.2 still standing? has a demolition company started? Any word on the street of its future? Has the Indianapolis facility located on East English Avenue been wrecked? Any word on the street of its future? Edited August 10, 2015 by dovaseric
akirby
You might want to post this in the employee forum, not the off topic forum.

fuzzymoomoo
Cleveland engine plant 2 is still operating, and I'm pretty sure the Indianapolis HVC center (at least that's what I think you are asking about) is still operational as well. Cleveland Engine produces the 2.3 liter Ecoboost, 2.0 liter Ecoboost and 3.5 liter Ecoboost V-6, as well as the 3.7 liter V-6 found in the Mustang and other RWD vehicles (sans F-150) They are adding another engine there later this year, but I can't remember which right now. *edit, that already happened. It was the 2.0 and 2.3 engines they added earlier this year. Edited August 11, 2015 by fuzzymoomoo
aneekr
Has the Indianapolis facility located on East English Avenue been wrecked? Any word on the street of its future? The former Visteon/ACH facility at 6900 English Av. in Indianapolis is still standing unused. A couple years ago, the City-County Council evaluated the location as a potential site for Marion County's new criminal justice complex. Nothing ever came of that redevelopment proposal, and the council nixed the criminal justice complex project earlier this year in any case. Much of Indianapolis' east side, including the area immediately to the north and east of the plant, suffers from urban decay and an elevated crime rate. Washington Square Mall, a few miles to the east along Washington St., has a vacancy rate exceeding 50%.
