I worked machining axle shafts and drive shafts for 14 years. It was heavy lifting back hurting work but I didn't consider it hard labor. Now I'm on an assembly line and it's the hardest labor I've ever done. So yes assembly work is hard labor. Also heard they don't plan on doing tag relief which means more tier 2's will be getting laid off than originally planned. Those lay offs will be coming around September 8th.
