This guy is a piece of sh**

Recommended Posts

What a piece of garbage. Had to bait a protected lion, wearing a GPS collar, out of a protected preserve, shoot it with a bow and arrow, which didn't kill Cecil the lion, who lived another 40 hours (in extreme pain) before he was found and shot. Then skinned and beheaded.

I'm afraid you're completely wrong on this one Fatso.

1. This man was not hunting a lion for its meat. I have no problem with someone who goes hunting because they need the meat to eat. But going out and hunting an animal just so you can kill it, cut its head off and put its dead head on the wall of your house is freaking sick. If a human being hunted other human beings, killed them and then cut their heads off and hung them on the walls of their home we would consider them a psychopathic murderer, but evidently when you do the same thing to an animal it's "normal". No it's not normal, its disgusting and sick.

2. I don't care who this clown paid, as soon as he saw that there was a tracking collar on the animal he knew that he had done something wrong and he didn't report himself to the authorities. Never mind the fact that killing an animal just for the sake of killing it is sick, he also knew he had done something illegal.

3. This is not the first time this sick prick has done something like this. He had a similar incident when he killed a bear here in the US several years ago. Once again, he wasn't out there because he needed bear meat to eat. He just wanted to kill a bear and stick its head on the wall of his house. I don't care how anyone tries to justify that kind of behavior it's disgusting and sick.

Yes I eat meat. Yes I'm well aware that domesticated cattle and poultry are raised for the specific purpose of being ultimately killed for their meat and other organs. There is nothing wrong with that. There is something wrong with killing an animal just for the sake of killing it. He's a vile piece of crap.

BlackHorse, I couldn't have phrased it better. 100% on point.

You two 'nice' guys only kill what you need to eat?You never owned/used; leather shoes, alligator wallet, bunny foot key chain, plastic bags, car and bike tires, glue, fabric softener, shampoo and conditioner, toothpaste, bio fuels, fireworks, white and brown sugar, they all utilize animal products?Besides how you personally feel about it,hunting is also a sport. How do you know that some parts of that lion were not consumed?Lion Spam perhaps or maybe lion testicle viagra?Once again the hunter said he did not see the collar and trusted his paid guide.Do you realize that hunting is a business?a business that generates jobs, income and revenue?I dont know what happened to "the bear" they usually hunt those with dogs.Judging from the way you are running the hunter down, people like youze twos guyz care more about animals than other people. You are 'projecting' onto Clarence the lion, who would attack you.Stop the drama-queen reaction!

He claims he didn't see the collar, but he was with them when they tied a dead animal to his truck and scented a quarter to a half square mile area next to a protected wildlife park, to lure Cecil out of a no hunting zone.

With the bear in Wisconsin, he shot it miles outside of the legal hunting zone, then lied about where he shot it to cover it up.

Yesterday, he admitted that he doesn't tell his patients the he big game hunts because it's "emotional and divisive", and he's already losing patients because of it.

In this day and age, there's no justification for trophy hunting, period. It is not the same as raising and harvesting domesticated animals, plus fishing, for the purposes you posted. Trophy hunting only serves to stroke their own egos, to the detriment of the rest of the world. I want to see the government ban the import of all big game trophies. Let's see if that doesn't put a crimp in this nonsense.

And you can try justify it all you want, he's still wrong, and so is anyone who backs him up.

If the guy broke some rules then he should be punished.Hunting is big-business,you don't like trophy hunting but other people do that does not make them "wrong".God gave man dominion over all the animals.I have spoken to people who have gone on safari and the guides bait or hang out around a watering hole. The animals are eaten and turned into trophies. You are over-reacting!Enjoy your vegan lunch.

I can only agree with if the guy broke some rules of the hunt then he should pay.I am not against hunting even trophy hunting. What concerns me in this current society is the intolerance for other peoples opinions and points of view.Jimmy Kimmel,a comedian, crying about the animal on a national television show is an obvious attempt to emotionally manipulate the audience to "feel" his point of view---DUH!

The guys is an ASS ..that is not hunting it is torture . No real hunter would do that only those without ethics ....there was no hunt ...just luring any moron can do that ( that's why it is illegal )

I hope he gets extradited and tried ...and to lose everything in his sick life

I know my meat was not tortured before its death ... a quick and painless death

Ute I hate to break this to you but large commercial harvesting of animals for food is also cruel.Chickens are kept in the dark and cramped locations and they are bred to have large breast so they can only walk a few steps there are many documentaries on the subject. My guess is "the guy" will not be extradited and tried because hunting is such a lucrative business in Africa. He was probably going for a "kill" shot I don't see why he would not want to make it quick.

and HE DID break some rules, wether he knows or not, its still wrong!

U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is looking for Palmer, but hasn't been able to reach him. They're working with Zimbabwe wildlife officials, in the invrstigation. The farm owner was released from custody without charges. The professional hunter, Theo Bronkhorst, was release on $1000 bail, charged with failing to "prevent an unlawful hunt." Court documents said Bronkhorst was supervising while Palmer shot the animal.

Safari Operators Association of Zimbabwe, of which Bronkhorst is a member, said that baiting is unethical and illegal.

"Ethics are certainly against baiting. Animals are supposed to be given a chance of a fair chase," Emmanuel Fundira, the association's president, said. "In fact, it was not a hunt at all. The animal was baited, and that is not how we do it. It is not allowed."

The revoked Bronkhort's licence. His son is also under investigation.

Valid point and a good reason to buy free range chicken, and grass fed beef.

For an extremely experience big game hunter, Palmer certainly fucked up. Of course, hunting at night, with a spotlight, may have been a factor in his missing the kill shot. Also implies that they all knew they weren't playing by the rules.

We're talking about a lion...an old lion.....a non-endangered species.

That said, the guy is still a P.O.S. in my book.

I'm not a recreational hunter. I never owned a gun, and don't plan on it. But I'm related to plenty of people who are/do.

Let the country where this occurred prosecute, if appropriate. And let our country worry about our other 1st-world problems like where to plug in our iPhone. It's not like we're swimming in excess Social Security cash; enough to devote resources to "working with Zimbabwe officials".

I fail to see why this is a major concern---OTHER than to bring attention to this guy and his poor life choices.

That was a bit harsh, on my part.

But still, while this is a bad thing, I don't think it rises to the level of #lionsmatter--especially when people are blasted when they say "all lives matter" to the #blacklivesmatter crowd.

Meanwhile, the current administration just gave Iran a pretty sweetheart deal that all but guarantees they will have a nuclear weapon in my childrens' lifetime.

The priorities here seem completely out of whack.

No, I don't think it was hash, so don't worry about.

I think U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is involved because I think they have reciprocity agreements with other countries in these matter, much in the same way the F.B.I. gets involved in helping investigate and/or extradite American residents wanted for crimes in other countries. In this case, especially, both countries, the United States and Zimbabwe, have laws regarding protecting animals in certain areas, and against poaching.

He might have been old, but he was in a protected park, until these POS baited him out of the park. And I agree with the official in Zimbabwe that said that baiting isn't hunting. It's cheating.

As far as the other subject....don't get me started about POS cops....I have personal, unpleasant experience with a few. Got news for that crowd....POS cops threaten everyone in society, not only one group.
