Sounds like good news for the Flat Rock crew.

Congratulations on your new product, with hopes of long hours of production and the possible raising of the membership numbers.

Good Luck Flat Rock

I`m not sure but there won`t be any need to bend over at this rate. It may already be inserted.

I`ve never seen a business move like this by Ford. Oh they have stacked the deck and the IUAW as always, will be the companies front men to sell the stacked deck but, this is a new technique for sure.

The talks are still in the smiles and giggles stages over Jimmy`s favorite flavored Boone's Farm and some chips. They haven`t even got to the table yet and dam...

The yes votes are the only thing stacking up.

Read yesterday late after posting my first post in this tread, Jimmy is working hard at covering all the bases. It stated he was in discussions with the company to modify the transfer language so the members at CAP who want to follow the MKS production will be able to do just that. Hmmm I wonder how the transfer modification will play out for the members at CAP that would love to run and hide from all the stress on the floor from this federal class thingy....?

Anyway... this is a really different contract season. Put the new products out there before any high lights? Give the members dreams of fleeing I meant... transferring.

I can`t wait to see the glowing work of literary art, that lays in the golden ark. (the contract)

10 years of 3% raises with interest

COLA with interest

Monday after Easter

OT after 8 & 40

No more tiers everyone gets raised in their hourly rate to a base of 29.50 per hour

10 minutes an hour break for all production members

$50,000.00 bone us check

Oppp`s sorry I fell asleep... (dreaming pretty good)

This is going to be very interesting.....

It was reported in the Detroit papers that the Continental wouldn't require any more workers than are already at FRAP.

No openings, no transfers.

I agree that was in the paper, possible meaning of "no transfers" may be none from out side of Michigan.

Along with the fact that the MKS or D385 is not going to Flat Rock and the Continental is not going to be produced on a "D" platform and as of this point there will be little or no carryover parts (possibly only electronic parts, hopefully a better Sirius) this might fall into contractual language that is for new model applications. The MKS is being mothballed it isn`t even remotely close to the Continental as a model. The only remote relation between the two is the brand name Lincoln, that is it, a New Model.

So I guess if the statement of Jimmy`s, that they are working on modifications to the transfer language would be once again another Big Jimmy taking care of all the bases and hope no one catches on till after his contract is signed.....

Following your product requires no openings, you can still follow

In reality, there is no product to follow. One product is going the way of the Sable, Fairmont, Grand Torino anf T-Bird here at CAP and the product projected for Flat Rock is under all agreed guild lines a new product. The physical reality is completely apparent.

But, there is room for the deals, hand shakes and modifications....

Yes, there has to be openings.

182,

You obviously heard wrong. I have talked to several that went, and they LIKE it there. I was supposed to go, and if given the chance WILL go. Unfortunately for me, I lost my opportunity due to unexpected emergency back surgery during the second week of shutdown. Once I get healthy and back to work at Map, if I get the chance...I WILL go to Livonia. I am surely NOT afraid of a little work...

My old time WIXOM local 36 ass is gonna tell ya that when Ford Motor closed Wixom which at one time under Alex Trotman nearly outsold Cadillac {and caddy aint easy to beat} Ford Motor abandoned the luxury car market.See there is no longer any heritage associated with Lincoln,Lincoln is just anoher Ford.Fords luxury vehicle right now is a loaded F-150 King Ranch.Sorry to break it to ya but sales fgures don't lie.If I was rich and wanted to drive around Aspen Colorado and be seen in a car it would not be a Ford with a Lincoln badge.Luxury market is all about snob appeal!
