Fatso Posted June 26, 2015 Share Posted June 26, 2015 This comes from an article in a financial magazine from an outfit called BCG-Boston consultancy.The article says that 'fracking' and the availability of cheap abundant energy is a major factor that helps drive down manufacturing costs in the USA.So lets STICK TOGETHER during the upcoming contract negotiations and at least try to be a union FOR ONCE instead of beating each other down {be lucky you have a job}and running each other down {you cant do my job}tier one vs.tier 2 vs. trades.Remember that the UAW makes its money from dues and its major concern is quantity of dues paying members.We are the people who lay hands on every product manufactured and we are all skilled so have some self-respect and extend that to your fellow workers.The company is rich,politically powerful and tough.Our strength is in our solidarity.Once every 4 or 5 years you and I have a chance to make a difference.If we dont care about ourselves and each other then who will? 3 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Fatso Posted June 29, 2015 Author Share Posted June 29, 2015 The crime in Mexico adds to the cost of doing business as well as the safety of USA personnel when they travel.When your parts are getting stolen and you must pay the local mafia protection money its a burden.The USA has many,many positives and that is the job of the UAW to point out.Labor costs are something like 10% of the price of a vehicle.You know what Ford does care about?How much $$$$$ a S-T-R-I-K-E will cost them!
