Hydro
good, I'm glad they fixed the front end. That was the Major part that left me desired for something else. I kinda got over it, but still not happy aboutt he front of my mini car. this should fix it. It'll be a tough choice between edge and this. The front end of the Escape and Focus didn't age too well IMO...too busy looking...it doesn't look aweful, but didn't age well. I wonder if it will get a light bar around the back like the Edge. I was going to say the interior looks awful till I saw that they had felt covers over everything but the center console. I hope they can find some more room up front near the passenger seat like the older Escapes have.

Though I think the Escape front has aged better than the Focus....I've never been a fan of the Escape's rear or interior, so glad to see they're getting some changes. I doubt it's getting the lightbar like the edge - that would likely require a full redesign of the hatch. It is getting new lenses though - looks to be almost Everest looking (with the reverse lights in the center of the red/brake light).
630land
I do like the newer '15 Focus front end. Though some Focus Fanatics are loyal to the older look saying "It looked more unique". Though not about to trade in for one! The Escape was in line for a Mid-Cycle refresh, though is it for MY '16 or '17?

Keep an eye out for fusion spy shots too, it's due for a refresh for '17 too.

2005Explorer
I think it will actually look nice making it look more Edge in the front and less previous Focus.

silvrsvt
Wake you up??? I guess your SHO really is a sleeper. LOL Not really, but I'd like something smaller as a replacement...either if we get the Chinese Taurus or a Fusion.

Harley Lover
Fresh Like a 5 year old turd Ford sold 358,410 Escapes in the U.S./Canada in 2014, it's best sales year ever. You guys crack me up.
jpd80
Hi\ow quick we forget, just as Escape sales drop below 30K, new Edge arrives and kicks up over 15K sales while Explorer powers on with 20K sales. Escape's job is to hang on until early 2015 when we expect the upgraded '17 to arrive, so as we get past summer, things quieten down a bit and out come incentives. Ford has three Utes in close proximity yet still bagged around 65,000 sales, add in Flex, Expedition and the figure goes over 70,000 or around a third of total sales. speedingtones
That looks promising. But honestly, I like the Ford Ecosport better. I hope it gets released in the country.

Harley Lover
Have you seen the Edge in person? RMC, I have, and I dislike the Edge front end quite a bit. Frankly (it pains me to say this) the Hyundai Sante Fe with a similar grill has much better, resolved styling in front than the Edge: Edited July 9, 2015 by Harley Lover

Frankly (it pains me to say this) the Hyundai Sante Fe with a similar grill has much better, resolved styling in front than the Edge: That's not a production Edge but rather the concept.
