HofstraJet
Anyone know if/when the Sync3 update will be available for 15 Expeditions? I can't seem to find any information on this. Thanks!
fuzzymoomoo
I don't think it will be. From what I understand, it runs on different hardware than what the sync 2 system in your expedition has
PokerMunkee
It will be on the 2016 Expedition.
HofstraJet
Ford just confirmed that it will not be available on the 15s and there will be no upgrade path. http://fordsyncforum.com/index.php?/topic/4144-sync-current-version-and-upgrade/&do=findComment&comment=15129 Totally sucks - just like the current Sync system. akirby
That's been stated for several months now. There are hints that they'll provide a MFT version of sync 3 (without the pinch to zoom and other hardware specific features) shortly after sync 3 is released. You can also go buy all the new hardware yourself and swap it in - a Ford engineer already did it with a Taurus. But it would be ungodly expensive. HofstraJet
I just want something functional - not a system that is not only slow and unresponsive but that won't restart on Bluetooth audio when that is where I last left it. It's so frustrating. Edited May 18, 2015 by HofstraJet
akirby
Sounds like you have a bad APIM if you're on the latest software. I have 3 vehicles with MFT and they're not slow or unresponsive.
HofstraJet
Hmmm...wouldn't that be nice? I will take a video to show the response speed and then you can let me know if that's normal. Thanks!
akirby
Maybe it depends on what you define as slow and unresponsive. A video would help. What version of MFT?
