Chicago Assembly Plant

chassisgroupleader.....

Your post had 314 lookers. But, no takers..... not a big deal. Hell I had "hate e-mail stating crazy shit would bestow me if I didn`t stop this ---> .....

But really there is one thing being proved out on the floor at CAP. (again and again) The sheep have no idea whats going on soooo..... the "I heard`s"... the "Someone told me" and the always reliable "They said..." are at a level that is almost out of control....

The sheep have proven that the constitutional right of "innocent till proven guilty" has no place in our democratically ran union. Hell, even our resident activist (V.P.) is unbelievably quiet on the subject. He seemed to pick up a sign at a drop of a hat and run to the freshest picket line in defense of any other unfair situation. But, I guess this mob mentality is okeedoekee by him, must not be as big a deal as his war (that he proclaimed was stopped at Lear) on the tiers.... maybe the next "informer" will shed a light on his position?

With out the help of our resident activist, let me put some info out there. All of which is of public record. If the Facebook thingy wasn`t the only means of exchanging information by our sheep and the activist then maybe sheep would just look up such things as...

"The United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois "Eastern Division"

"Case: 1:14-cv08708 Document #:5 Filed: 11/03/14"

At this point I will state that I have "no opinion" on or "feelings" of "for or against" the sheep shit rumors that seem to be coming out of every sheep`s ass that has the irresistible need to say these type of beginnings to their sentences "I heard" or "someone said".

Looking at the first page people will read, sheep will wait to hear from "they" or "someone", to tell them what is on the first page. It states pretty clearly,

Plaintiffs - Individually and on behalf of the other similarly situated persons

VS

Defendants - (just three words) Ford Motor Company

Then there is a line that sheds a little light to some of these sheep turds that are floating around. In the center of the first page it reads,

PLAINTIFFS DEMAND A TRAIL BY JURY

Has the jury been selected? Has the trial started? Has a "we the jury find you" yet? Well no....

Now I`m no activist by any stretch on our activist scale here at CAP but, isn`t it a little premature at this stage of the game to call for the electrician in to check the chair? (wait a minute "I heard"..."someone said" the V.P. was checking out the chairman`s chair with his Chairman`s hat on...I`m just saying :) )

I will say that after reading the numinous (page after page) paragraphs with all of the "The plaintiff incorporates by reference the allegations in paragraphs..." and the many "by way of example but are not limited to the following" it makes this 124 page file interesting reading.

After reading and being first hand of the receiving end of the guilty till proven innocent verdict I will say this, allegations can turn into charges but charges are not proper or punishable till the jury renders its decision.

Reading the allegations, turned charges, all I can say is I hope the truth is found and any brothers or sisters that have had to go through the guilty till proven innocent routine like so many of us, can move on after the decision is rendered.

Now for the one question that is stuck in the old long hairs head... if the trial hasn`t started or the jury hasn`t been chosen then??????

!!!!!!!!!!WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!!!!!!!!!!

That makes for very interesting reading but I and so many others I talk to would like to know about caps chairman and these supposed racketeering charges. Any facts would be much appreciated since no one seems to have an answer either way.

Redwings,

I`ve done some looking around and talked with two older than me attorney friends and they agree if there are any allegations that have been raised to the charges status, there should be some form of record of the charges.

But, the old long hair hasn`t run across any record of any racketeering or the RICO act being pursued.Soooo.....

I can`t say that there is or isn`t any type of investigation going on, because investigators don`t have to report anything till they are required too.

I will go out on a limn here and say people and groups of people do things differently but, going around the barn in a different direction can still come up with good results. With that said Brother Reuther had a way that he applied and preformed during negotiations. Much different from and in a completely different application and style was Giveusthefinger`s negotiations....

So maybe, okay just maybe, we are in the mitt`s of local negotiations and it`s been so dam long since we have been in local negotiations that the manner and/or applications being applied is different from what was used what six or seven years ago???

One thing that the sheep haven`t brought up and I guess they can be distracted easily.... Why are we going through a re balance during a MP1 stage of a launch? again? and not getting the additional operators that was proven to be needed by one group and even had another group start the moving of racks and the placement of stock in the production area`s, so as to deal with the increased volume of at lease two of the model lines?

One thing for sure, Someone said....I heard....They been talkin... bout how the Hammer was walked out last Thursday, in handcuffs, leg shackles and a prison suit.... THEN MONDAY!!!! I came through the door`s of the mezz and grabbed for my phone to call 911!!!! Cause there had to be a jail break!!! DAM if that Hammer wasn`t standing there... yeah right there in the mezzzzz no cop`s in sight no security guys anywhere around (really) and the HAMMER just yacking away!!!! JAIL BREAK JAIL BREAK!!!!

All I can wish for... is we get a local and national contract that isn`t jammed up the sheep's asses with a bone us and dosen`t steal one more thing from the most efficient and productive work force in the world. Yep the sheep don`t know it but we produce more product than ever before for millions less than just a few years ago and generate the fucken highest profits Fords seen in hisssstorrreeee.

So I hope there are some fricken heated discussions at the table this go round..... annnnd not any more of the bullshit about helping Ford stay competitive.

I heard, they said... we are going to get back all three minutes of clean up time, environmental relief and that G-D Dam one minute an hour they gave back the month before Ford started making billions of fricken profits a quarter. Not figuring the environmental relief that comes to a fucking whoooping 13.7 minutes on a day 10.7 day..... someone said.

Now I didn`t hear this from "someone" and "they" haven`t told me anything yet....

But, (<---and there is always one them) after hearing about the MAP situation I just wonder if and don`t forget this is just an old long hair`s "if" the "negotiations" rationale that was spoke about at length for weeks.....may have been pretty close to what was going on. Maybe?

With 750 or whatever the true number is at MAP that will be relocated maybe once again "maybe" the negtiations were more in line with the 100 people in the lottery we just had? Maybe? yep another maybe? could this be to shore up those 100 people coming off the street and not having a 100 transferee`s take those openings???

But, who the hell really know because getting any type of to the point info around here is like P------ F------ T----- (fill in the blank`s)

Kinda neat that 5 months before the end of a contract and the lay off`s and/or reduction of crews start. Ever see that before? Boy the sheep`s will run with the MAP news. If its factual or not the sheep`s love sheep shit like that....

I heard and someone said there was a Chairman sighting today!!! on sight!!!! in the plant!!!! So they said.....

The $2.5 Billion investment in Mexico is just a warning shot to the UAW about the upcoming contract talks! Ford has not only met but exceeded the terms of the current contract but is not going to be held hostage just because GM and FCA are exempt due to their taxpayer bailouts. Should you have any doubts, look at Boeing and their opening the non-union plant in NC for expanded production.

Yup everything back to normal at CAP. Millions spent to retrain the workforce on how not to harass the membership. First in the training class all elected and salary. Over 140 day supply of Lincoln MKS and Taurus even with $6000 checks in the glove box. Media banned from the plant because they can cause havoc by asking pesky questions about Federal charges. Instead of family tours of the facility now tours given to all the Federal agents. A Union meeting last Sunday in which the CAP Chairman says the Feds have made a mistake and he is back off discipline and in the facility pending a grievance. Yup Decker everything back to normal! CAP normal!!!!

I`ve been to and worked with 5 different assembly plants, and there is sheep drama in every one. To one degree or another sheep drama, union drama and of course company drama.... in everyone.

But, dam it I think CAP is working very hard on their PHD in the applied Drama Sciences.

Normal? CAP Normal? Union Normal? Company Normal?

I`m wondering if all this talk of normal is really needed? I`m sure the hate e-mails will start and the talk about the old long hair will increase. (if thats possible) Oh and the political retaliation will even start in the planning stage.... but here goes.

If people will stop and think (sheep just wait someone will tell you what to think) about CAP in it`s true form "business", and not a self centered or political form. "Normal" isn`t really that hard to see.

Take a look at CAP`s past 9 to 10 years, we have had three administrations all have had their own ( but some simular) issues to deal with. Now each administration had its haters and they all had their political pressures from within and of course the regional and international song and dance crap but, is this normal?

Ryan, is this and that.... Grant, is this and that.... Coby, is this and that.... all from the haters and the political hopefuls. (rumor feeding the sheep types)

Ryan - was in control of a local that worked through the reduction of a complete shift of operations. Navigated through some of the worst bullshit contract language that has ever been presented. Helped the membership gear up for the return of two shifts of production. All along he was there to watch and assist his membership double in size.

Grant - was in control through the ramp up of not only two shifts of production but the task of preparing a work force to do something that had never been done before at CAP, the 3 crew process of manufacturing. Helped the membership deal with not only placement issues but with the never ending need for more hours of production. Dealing with some of worst bull shit contract language. All along watching and assisting his membership grow in numbers.

Coby - is in control of a local that is at its present level, a membership, that in no time in its local`s history has ever reached the total number of members we are at now. He is working with a membership that is receiving more total hours of production work than ever before. There are more members receiving benefits and paychecks (stay away from the political finger pointing and hair splitting shit) then ever before in the history of CAP. Working with a bargaining unit to finalize and implement plans that were started in the two perior administrations that will benefit the total membership. All along watching and assisting his membership grow in numbers that have never been reached before.

People, where do we stand as a membership? (sheep ask "someone" or "they" will tell you)

Now...there is one thing that is a complete certainty.... we all won`t agree and/or we all won`t care for each other at any given time and the political shit will alllll ways be there but really.... who the hell really gives a shit about Ryans poor personal business decisions or Grants going to Indiana University or his poor taste in hats...(a Purdue plug) or any of the bull shit rumors that have Coby`s name in them!!!!!

Dam the stupid sheep shit LOOK AT THE WHOLE PICTURE PEOPLE and tell a few sheep about a positive thing or two once in and a while......

Take your money throw it on the street and take a bucket full of "what if`s" and a box full of "maybe`s" and stuff them in your drawers and feel what its like to be a sheep.... (don`t be a sheep) MAKE THE MONEY PEOPLE

  • 2 weeks later...

???.... The position fairy  just grants wishes and poooooffffffff you`re an Area Manager...poof a happy ME.... poof not so happy process coach....poof union rep.... "no" experience required..... come on remember "wishes granted".... no strings attached <------ :lol2:

???.... Look around? What do you think? Yes it can get worse.

Those in control, calling the shots and making the decisions  on both fronts, have got this circus..."CAP"... really, totally, completely fucked up.

Sir, yes Sir, push the late units to the building, Sir? Sir, these units??? Sir, yes Sir you know whats best Sir. :salute:

It makes you wonder when or what else has to happen to pull the plug on CAP.

Ford has been burned in the past on harassment, racial and discrimination charges and if its more of the same from CAP why do they tolerate it ?

CAP makes too much money for them to just "pull the plug on it".

What it sounds like they need to do is completely gut and relocate management from the top down. I know you guys are getting a production manager from MAP, so it seems like it's already starting.

CAP is putting about 20% (or possibly more) of the total profit for the company in the bank. (this is the tolerating factor or the look the other way syndrome)

Even with all the inexperience, inabilities and bald face lying going on and even with the run down equipment it isn`t even on the radar for the glass house. Only the money is a concern, up there. So as long as there are sales that keep coming in... the problems are "CAP"`s problem.

There will be some hurt ego`s a lot of bonuses will be smaller, the loss of job`s and positions but, Chicago will have to bare the burden of all that is Chicago..... World Headquarters will do a little song and dance but, Chicago will be slapped the hardest.

We have to realize no matter, ...what possibly, might, should or could be done and everything that dose happen or dosen`t happen to fix all that is wrong at Chicago.... one thing is for sure, don`t stop that line!!!!

"As the CAP/551 Turns" stay tuned the soap opera continues.....
