Ford GT not built by ford but still a ford?

Recommended Posts

:rant:How could the uaw or caw let ford produce a car not touched by ford hourly employees. I looked through the contract and came up scratching my head! Unbelievable, designed by ford but no union employee will lay a finger on it? Hell, at least Saleen built the last one and delivered it to Wixom and they put the engine and trans in and called it a ford. Sorry union, lost some faith in you guys. Please don't let me down on the new contact. I wont give up on you guys if you get back most of the things we gave up and a raise for all. You guys get one every few years how about one for us 1st tier.

How about the Transit Connect from Turkey, Fusion, Fiesta, and MKZ, from Mexico. All branded Ford or Lincoln. This is a much bigger problem than a low volume toy. Most of these are built by workers getting less per hour than the posted profit sharing rate.

Let me correct you on one thing. They shifted Transit Connect production from Turkey to Ibiza, Spain. And they ARE union
