Just like the government changing how they calculate inflation and unemployment to make it look better. They did mention (and I have seen this before) there was less ice 75 years ago. Round numbers up or down to fit your agenda and remove over half of the metric's? Yeah, how could that possibly cause a problem.... Problem is the scare mongers are screaming louder than the fact checkers. Imagine if somebody checked facts and found out cigarettes weren't the cause of cancer, or that there was no ill health effect, how could you possibly get people to believe you at this point? We have seen this over, and over, again. With eugenics where the guy who founded Stanford was all for it, Carnegie helped fund it; Y2K, global cooling, and on, and on. And every time the public finally said we no longer believe you, magically another crisis popped up. Same people, different story. The only difference this time is-----------> the media isn't investigating; in the US anyway. Regardless if a report goes the way you think, or opposite of what you believe, if you have any sense, you should be skeptical. Forget what they tell you, and see what you see. How is this global warming affecting you personally, besides taking money out of your pocket? Do you see something happening that they predicted like cities going under? Do you feel it in the air? Do you think the change you perceive needs immediate attention, if you perceive change at all? Have they convinced you that the change YOU perceive, if you perceive one; is all because you live a modern live instead of living in caves? If you aren't convinced, do you think from all the former crisis that were thrown at you that never came to fruition, that it is MORE or LESS likely that this is about a political agenda to get you to live the way some people want you to so others can have more or catch up? It is not what IS truth, but rather what most people believe the truth IS. The more they believe it, the more invested they are in making their version of the truth reality; up to, and including, altering facts in evidence, so that their truth becomes common place acceptance. ME: But it has been proven over and over, that the input data has been fudged by those taking it. If it is so obvious how bad it is, why did they have to fudge the numbers? LIB: They didn't fudge the numbers, it was an honest mistake that a right wing tea party group has blown into a conspiracy. ME: But when you put the numbers back where they should have been, it shows little or no correlation to what you claim is happening. We were told by enviro people across the globe that some cities would already be under water, and we all should buy a boat as the polar ice caps melting would put 1/3 of California underwater by now. How do you explain that? LIB: You are a flat earther, aren't you? ME: No sir, I really want to learn, honest. Since you can no longer point to statistics since we know they are bogus, give me your next best argument for why we should spend billions on fixing this. LIB: Ha, that is easy. It's like seeing earth shattering news on Fox, then checking another news channel to confirm it. Not that they are not credible, it's that the minute you say you "heard it on Fox" you lose every left winger that hears you. And today is only a prediction that it will go up to the seasonal norm as it's not there yet. Here's a fun thing you can try yourself if you believe in MMGW, go to the weather network and check the month outlook. Normally you see the next day or so, you can look at the 7 day trend or 14 day trend or go to month..go to the "month" one and then look at the record highs and lows. Check every single day of this month, last month, heck do from Nov to May, you won't like what you find if you're a MMGW person. High dates are 2002, 1987, 1977, 1946, 1941, 1933 This varies from one day to the next one will be 1989, the next 1941 etc. The lows are 1989, 1984, 1972, 1959, 1945, 1929, 1887 So..the extremes are back and forth throughout the last 125-150 years. The earth is slowly warming, but it has been since 1850 which is the acknowledged (even peer reviewed) date that the mini ice age ended. So is there a warming trend? Generally yes. Is it directly caused by man or has it suddenly gone to "all heat mode" since 1850 like the warmers want you to believe? NO! Has it gone "all heat mode" since 1990 or whenever this crap started? NO! There was only 1 (that's ONE) year that was record setting since 1987 and that was 2002...if that was a "trend" then why hasn't 2005,2010,2013, etc been the record for the highest temp??? Different days have peaked in different years, same as the lowest temps have peaked in different years. The only constant from 1850 on is that the earth is slowly rising in temp and if it rises 3 more degrees overall...it'll be the same as when the romans were around 2000 years ago! Just think, if romans had suv's then the mini ice age never would of happened, makes about as much sense.... goinbroke2 Posted March 13, 2015 Share Posted March 13, 2015 So, today is 11 degrees colder than normal for this time of year here and we're getting 30cm of snow Sunday and another 30 next Wednesday. Last winter was "wow that was a bad one, one of the worste in years.." This year has 1 1/2 times as much snow and on average 12 degrees colder than last year which was on averave 2 degrees colder than normal.
