tooltime
Up to 500 UAW-Ford entry level members will jump to master level wages by March as claimed by the Detroit News. Thanks to the jobs created under the 2007 and 2011 agreements. All of this in under 3 years, remarkable strategy coming to reality. Thank you UAW............................. http://www.detroitnews.com/story/business/autos/ford/2015/02/03/ford-add-new-jobs-production/22835639/ Edited February 4, 2015 by tooltime
focusfrank
As soon as FMC surpassed the 20% mark of tier 2 workers employed ALL tier 2 should have been brought up to tier 1 wages...
niteeyes
NO, Ford will maintain 20% tier 2, just like the contract states.

fuzzymoomoo
As soon as FMC exceeded that 20 percent ALL of tier 2 was suppose to get bumped up to tier 1. Under the last contract, maybe. The current contract says 20% stays at tier
trailfndr
Since tier two began, it has always been that once the 20% was exceeded, the higher seniority tier 2 workers would move up until no more than the 20% cap was maintained. It was NEVER listed to move ALL of the tier up atone time, even though we all wish that they would, and I am sure most will fight for that in the coming contract. Two Tier was a way to save the companies, but now that they are as profitable as they are, its time to eliminate this unfair divide of the work force.
