F250
http://youtu.be/6Ege2_iCNpg This may have been posted before but I found this video about the '50s Fords, Mercurys Lincolns and Edsels very interesting. What an outrageous decade for auto design. Surprised by some of the features and science fiction marketing. Want to prove the new Mercury's paint is durable? Just set it on fire! Seat belts were a $9 extra cost option. Exotic materials? Na, it was either stamped steel or cast iron but life was a lot simpler in those days and the Big 3 OWNED the American road. atomcat68
Remember, there was a tie recently when airbags were also an option that cost extra too. The Tempo was the first to market and it was around $800.00!

SoonerLS
It was also driver's side only My '92 SHO had a driver's-side airbag; my '95 had both driver's-side and passenger airbags, and they qualified it for a discount from State Farm. I still remember when they stopped making that a discount...
