robertlane
Edsel Ford's 1940 Lincoln Continental I snapped with photo after an afternoon at the Henry Ford Museum here in Dearborn, MI Inspired after a trip to Europe, Edsel Ford collaborated with Lincoln stylists on a custom car with a sophisticated "continental" look. Thus, the Lincoln Continental appeared from 1940-1948. This two door, V12 powered cabriolet is painted pewter gray with a tan canvas convertible top and was Edsel Ford's personal car. Made 24 December 1940. Photo taken @ Henry Ford Museum.
twintornados
Edsel was a tremendous man with a true vision for upscale luxury...he knew the market and created the above pictured beauty as well as the original "step up" brand marketing technique when he created Mercury....Honda, Nissan, and Toyota all copied this business model and created Acura, Infiniti, and Lexus....
