dclynch
I finally got my truck and was very happy with it until I went to put in the grandkids car seat. I can't believe that the super duty does not have the hooks in the seat for a car seat. What a pain it is to install using the seatbelts. In this day and age I can't beleive Ford dropped the ball on this. I called the dealer and was told that they have never put them in the superduty. Does anyone know if there is anythig after market that can be installed?
Ramrod79
I have two car seats in my truck and prefer the hookless setup, I find the seatbelt easier to deal with, especially in the cold weather.
fordmantpw
If you are moving them back and forth between vehicles, seat belts are easier. However, if you want to put it in to stay put, the LATCH anchors in the seat are the absolute best! I could attach the seats to the vehicle as if they were one. No movement at all from the car seat unless the entire vehicle was moving to. I could have sworn that my Super Duty had the anchors in the seat. I know my F150 did, I thought the Super Duty did too. I will have to check in the morning.
blwnsmoke
With latch, all vehicles under 8,500lbs are required to have them. I assume Ford uses the 10,000lb GVWR to get away with not putting them into the SD. The F150 has them because it is under the 8,500lbs.. looking at the 2015, it is 7,850 max. akirby
Can't you add the lower seat tethers?
fordmantpw
Can't you add the lower seat tethers? The lower connection points are the 'anchors', the uppers are the 'tethers'. I'm not sure if you can add them or not. If the vehicle has a place to attach them, then yes. I forgot to check my truck BTW, and I'm too lazy to walk upstairs right now. Tara Wilson
It's safer to use the seat belt, and after a certain weight the child and seat are supposed to be secured with the seat belt, not LATCH.
