FWD vs AWD

Gotcha!

But, no, the LSD does NOT use the ABS system. It uses a clutch pack. Traction control uses ABS, LSD does not. Well, maybe some LSD's do, but not the ones in Ford trucks.

Aha - but this limited slip differential that you speak of no longer exists on new F150s. The only choices are a non-limited slip diff or an electronic locking diff. The limited slip functionality was replaced with electronic controls using the ABS brakes to brake one spinning wheel and transfer torque to the other one. It's electronic traction control.

OK, yes, the NEW LSD is traction control. It's not called LSD though, it's called ETC. Glad we are on the same page now and have that settled. :)

Is there an echo in here?

Limited slip functionality uses the ABS system to brake a spinning wheel to transfer torque to the other side (essentially electronic traction control).

Yes, we're sure having lots of weather here.

That's good. We'd all be dead without weather!

Too bad Missouri doesn't have a NBA team - the Hawks are killing it right now and I could use some sports bragging rights.

We could talk about MLB...you know, the sport where MO has sent a team to the World Series each of the last two years. Or NFL, where the...oh, wait. Looks like the Rams may be heading back to LA if Kroenke gets his new stadium there.
