2016 MKX

Recommended Posts

It could be the camera perspective but it looks longer and lower to me

Longer yes, probably by at least 6 inches to make sure 3rd row seats fit.

Lower? Maybe... but probably just an optical trick because the current MKX is a very square car and the new one is longer.

Side view mirrors look like the current model - not even close to the concept ! (could be temporary)

Wonder about day running lights - (LED's) - Amber like the concept ? hope so !

The mirrors don't look like the current ones at all - the current ones are mounted by the window. These new ones are mounted on the door, like the MKZ and MKC.

I imagine they'll be very similar to this on the MKC:

You mean like this picture that's been up on the Lincoln website for weeks now?

That's a concept, not the production version. I figure that Lincoln will unveil the production version at one of the big shows next year.

Dude - add door handles and change the mirrors to what mkc uses and that is the production version. It's not a "MKX concept" - it's the "2016 mkx concept". Go look at the "MKC concept" compared to the production version.

The concept MKC looks like a slightly chopped and lowered version of the production MKC. It wasn't just a matter of changing the rear-view mirrors and adding door handles to make the concept ready for production.

Concept:

vs

Production:

They are virtually Identical like akirby mentioned, save for some detailing and like he mentioned actual door handles and side mirrors.

His point is the MKX will virtually look like the "concept" shown, with some minor detail changes and door handles/production style side mirrors.
