HofstraJet
I'm in the market for a 15 Expy and want a dark green color with 22" wheels (though the wheel situation may delay things significantly from what I read in the other thread). The Green Gem looks like an emerald green but I want to see it on a vehicle to get a real sense of how bright it is. Have been looking at local dealer inventory online and driving around dealer lots trying to see what it looks like, but no dice. I saw an Explorer in Dark Side which is exactly the color I want, but that isn't available on the Expy. Any suggestions on how to get a true sense of how the color looks? Any way to get the Expy in Dark Side? Thanks to everyone on this forum - I got so many answers to questions I had and questions I had no idea to ask. akirby
Unfortunately the only way to tell is to see it in person. Pictures just don't work. The dealer should have a small sample that would help a little bit. At least you could compare it to dark side and other colors.
akirby
Any way to get the Expy in Dark Side? Sure - all you need is a good body shop and about $3K.
TopGun1421
Any way to get the Expy in Dark Side? My son bought a 15 Explorer in Dark Side and it's gorgeous! I decided on Tuxedo Black with Caribou accents (only available on the KR) for my 2015 Expy. Build date is scheduled for 12.1.
ajvolpe
I just ordered a Bronze Fire/Dune Limited 4x4 after seeing this color on a car in the dealers showroom. Very impressive and no extra charge for this color.
