tomashek
I have 2015 MKZ, nice drive, very comfortable. I have noticed couple hickups, hope others can clarify: 1. Welcome sound on startup, can this be desabled somehow? I couldn't find setting for it., it becomes annoying. 2. BLIS, works fine, however, when it detects other cars and lights up - upon turning signal on - it won't give any audio feedback, nor light blinks, just stays on. Is this how it supposed to be? In my previous car, it gave me visual and audio signals - audio part was very helpful. 3. Power mirrors, they won't fold/unfold with locking car. Am I missing setting for it, or this is how it is. 4. USB playlist, songs in the folders are displayed and playd not according to song number, but from A to Z. Can this be changed somehow, so when folder plays - it starts from song number 1, not from song that begins with A letter. I appreciate feedback. Are you starting the vehicle before you fasten your seatbelt? If so it's the seatbelt warning. 2. it only blinks. you wouldn't want audio every time a car enters your blind spot. I guess if it only did that if you have your signal on that wouldn't be too bad but don't think it works that way. 3. manual only 4. this is a know sync issue going way back. Don't remember the final resolution but you should be able to google it and find something.
tomashek
1. Got it! I guess I still adjust to domestic brand... 2. BLIS light doesn't blink, light on the mirror is just steady - no matter what. You're right, you wouldn't want audio every time a car enters your blind spot. What I meant is - It should give some sound warning when car is in the blind spot and you engage turn signal. Or at least light on the mirror start blinking repeatedly - to give some warning. Anyway, it is what it is, I guess 3. Sucks, especially when it only needs software updated….same as for BLIS... 4. Thanks for suggestion, will research. akirby
BLIS is pretty simple - if the light is on there is a vehicle in your blind spot. If it's not then it's clear. You'll get used to it.
ANTAUS
While down in Miami visiting my mother, her car has BLIS and down there you just do not try to engage the turn signals because people WILL speed up and not let you into the lane, so IF you decide to, just take the lane and when your half in, click it on for one flash is what I do to show you tried. Or if you can't seem to squeeze in, just put your blinker on and throw yourself (at newer cars first or mininvans-children excuse) into the lane essentially pushing them out of the way or they gotta hit their brakes. And BLIS was lighting up constantly. I can't imagine how annoying it would be if I got a chime each and every time it lighted up.
Hugh
If this helps, my '14 Escape has BLIS. You go to your MFT/MLT settings in order to turn the alarm on. I don't use that feature but the light works great.
