ANTAUS
https://autos.yahoo.com/news/10-ugliest-cars-of-2014-024625137.html Funny how they too called the MKT MarKeT like I do....
Hydro
Good list. I agree with them. I can't belive how the vast majority of the people in the comment section actually like the Juke. It's one of the worst on that list.
Edstock
That Infiniti 80 is ghastly. The MKT may not be great, but there is design harmony that isn't found in the Infiniti, which looks like stuff was casually stuck on it, IMHO.
LoveTaurus
I like the MKT styling !
RichardK
The Juke reminds me of a Pontiac Aztec. Now there was ugly vehicle.
630land
Two SUV's I think are the nerdiest are the previous RAV4 with spare tire on back and any Lexus RX snore-mobile. They were cutting edge 15 years ago, but now are frumpy. But even the new gen RAV4 looks like a dull butter knife. The exhaust hanging low under the rear axle is an eysore, and looks like it could get dented the first blizzard.
caplanm
I think they forgot the Kia Soul
Edstock
I think they forgot the Kia Soul They sure did. Ugly box on wheels, almost as ugly as the Nissan Qube, or whatever they call it.

caplanm
Can't say that I am a fan of the new Jeep Cherokee, either
30 OTT 6
Gee, you think a Fiesta was parked near the Mitsubishi design studio? That Mirage looks like a Chinese Fiesta knockoff.
caplanm
And now that I think about it, the Nissan Xterra, if they even sell that anymore
SoonerLS
That Infiniti 80 is ghastly. The Infiniti SUV is almost the inverse of the "new" Navigator--there are a few angles from which the Nav looks bad, but that Infiniti looks bad from EVERY angle. It's rolling through life at a rate of 50 WTFs per second, I think.
pictor
Where is the Honda Crosstour on this list, ungainly bloated whale of vehicle. I think it worse the then plain Jane Pilot, which is just boring, not ugly
Mark B. Morrow
I'm surprised they left the new Lexus and Infiniti off the list. They both adopted the '61 Plymouth grille as their "new" design feature. That didn't even work on the '61 Plymouth.

That didn't even work on the '61 Plymouth. In some ways, it worked better on the Plymouth than it does on the Lexus models. With the various Lexus models, it looks as though Toyota tacked that grille on to otherwise sedate designs. The entire 1961 Plymouth was wacky (tacked-on jet-tube taillights? fender lines swooping over bulging headlights?!). The grille was the icing on the cake. And then there was the dashboard of the 1961 Plymouth...
grbeck
Not surprised about the Honda Pilot. That is one design I wasn't wild about when it debuted. I think it looks even more awkward now. At least Honda is bringing out an all-new one very soon.

When I was a kid, '61 Plymouths were still a fairly common sight.I always thought they were strange looking cars, especially compared to '61 Fords and chevys. Over the years they have grown on me. There are a couple of very nice ones that show up at our local car cruises. (unfortunately the pics I have are too big to upload)
bifs66
The '61 Dodge was also quite strange looking. I always wondered what got into Mopar design that year. Though still a little odd, I actually liked the '62 models; particularly the plain bodied 413 powered drag cars. As far as Lexus and Infinity go, I think their grill design was inspired by the mouth of the Predator alien. (unfortunately the pics I have are too big to upload) About two years ago there was a mint condition 1961 Fury four-door sedan at the big fall Hershey AACA show for sale. The asking price was $12,000, if I recall correctly. It was so wonderfully strange that I would have been tempted to make an offer, if I had the money to do so. I can only imagine what Chrysler-Plymouth dealers thought when they saw the 1961 Plymouths at the dealer preview, particularly after they saw the 1961 Fords and Chevrolets (both of which were very handsome that year, in my opinion). They must have realized it was going to be a long year!

Bored of Pisteon
A lot of new cars are ugly... but I think I said that back in the late 90's...
