PREMiERdrum
They've come a long way since the MKZ Superbowl disaster. Here's what I like about their marketing folks: They do put out the occasional clunker, but even then they bounce back with something great. GM's marketing, on the other hand... LoveTaurus
Times a million. That was one of the best films I've seen in a while. In that movie, we couldn't find Matthew McConaughey! Only saw Ron Woodroof as a real person !! Edited August 21, 2014 by LoveTaurus

kyle
I think this is a great fit and even more so after seeing a video where he talks about the reason why he is doing it. I wish they would make that into the commercial because it is so pure and honest!! Here are the links: http://www.autoblog.com/2014/08/21/matthew-mcconaughey-lincoln-spokesperson-videos/ I checked out the MKC at the NADA show in January and it really looks and feels good......going in the right direction....just need more product and I am convinced Mark Fields will "go all in" with Lincoln-I mean he needs his legacy after Mulally saved Ford! Anthony
At first glance it's questionable with his "Aw shucks" personality not exactly jiving with sophisticated luxury. But this is a smart move. They aren't just buying into the award-winning McConaughey of now. Nolan has him starring in his next major film "Interstellar", which will bring him into the spotlight even more so then he is now. I think his popularity is going to blow up after that movie comes out. He's got a lot of mileage left in his stardom. Good timing and a good actor who is only going up from here. Guess you haven't seen True Detective yet? Seems as of late, he can't do any wrong I personally can't wait to see Interstellar myself...though I wonder what Nolan is going to when Michael Cain retires or kicks the bucket...he's been in just about every Nolan film LOL. saintlaz1
I dont know if you remember but I always thought the comercials for the 2010 MKZ/MKS with some band redoing 80's music with a techno beat was pretty good and ahead of its time meaning that now techno is bigger than ever and they need to get younger people buying these cars

ANTAUS
I read a little on him to find out, still, no clue. I dont really keep up on "famous" people and movies, and shows and all that. If it doesnt add vallue to my life, I dont follow it. Granted I know the bigger names of course, but I dont keep on that, or Kardasians, or Plastic Women of some county, or American Idol, or that kinda stuff. If it works for Lincoln then thats great for those that know him.

Bored of Pisteon
It's definitely a win across the board. Now if I can only find another one of those Lincolns in nice shape from that mid to late 1980's generation. I miss the few I had over the years.
