Like everyone else, I had the seat stains in my 2008 Escape. I finnally got fed up with them and the dealer was useless so I tried this.

Sprayed it on to the point of wetting the entire seat and them scrubbing with a nylon brush. They look great and the stains appear to be gone. Hopefully after drying for 24 hours they look as good.

I purchased a Mcculloch steam cleaner at Harbor Freight and use cleaners like that to help rinse out the chemicals and dirt. We use it on tile and grout and just about everything. The Mcculloch uses pressure with the steam which is the trick. It has all kinds of extensions and scrub attachments to use on different surfaces, so you don't have to get on your knees. My wife just cleaned her stained white curtains with a little bleach and water spray, and they came out looking new again with the steam. You use distilled water in the Mcculloch, so no new stains can come from it.

That might be but the Oxyclean cost less than four dollars and is easy to do. Spray the seat until the entire cushion is damp and scrub lightly. After it dryed it looks as good as the day it came from the dealer with not a stain in sight. It I didn't use this I would have used the steam clearer from Bissil we bought for pet stains that works great. I found Oxyiclean in all their varities works great on stains. I even use it on the vynal siding with a spray.
