F 250-What's the real issue here?

Recommended Posts

I have a F250 that's been sitting on the lot in Kentucky for over 30 days waiting to be shipped down South. Now I've heard all kinds of stories from the hard winter caused a major back log, the shippers are holding out for more money, there is a shortage of rail cars, or there are giving priority to deliveries up North. So what is the real issue here? Shouldn't trucks that a marked as sold be given priority? You can't say its out of Ford's hands because it's at the shipper's location. Ford has hired and we have paid the shipping cost :spend: to get our trucks delivered so there are no excuses here. To the shipper, you've been paid to do a job now do it. Come on Ford! Lets give the customer what they have paid for.

I consider myself lucky..... Had my truck on my dealers lot within 2 weeks of the build date.... I did hear that there was a few rail issues... Major rail work delaying certain routes... And a shortage of car carrying locomotives for some reason...not sure how true any of that is... But maybe it's time to step up and get a plan B.... Start moving the backlog on car carriers to central distribution areas to BeBe loaded onto other carriers to certain areas.???? I have heard stories of trucks sitting in transfer lots for 5-6 weeks waiting.... Just check out the vehicle tracker and see some of the built dates and revised eta's....
