My 2015 SUPER DUTY

Recommended Posts

Enjoy! Let us know what ya think good/bad after getting to know her.

Black looks great during daytime...when clean, especially waxed. I think this time I'll get a different color. Just couldn't keep my black 4x4 SUV clean, & hot here in the South.

Nice truck. Like what I ordered but I got the long bed. How do you have the chrome mirror caps and door handles but the premium cast wheels. With the chrome package you have to get the chrome clad wheels and chrome tow hooks. Seems like you got some but not all of the chrome package.

Those are the chrome clad wheels, not aluminum.

ok.... did not want the $1300.00 chrome package... added the chrome mirror covers for $75.00 . . the door handles are not part of the chrome package anyway.. added the 20" Premium cast aluminum wheels and the 5" tubular steps . .and no chrome tips are on it . . they are just clean! the chrome package comes with -

Chrome clad wheels -like the ones I ordered better

exhaust tip - -turns black anyway after time , if not black , very dirty with no chance of cleaning

tow hooks - ok , they are nice

mirror cap - I have for $75.00

in the bed tie downs - never see with the cover on anyway

angular cab steps - box type.....like the tubular steps I ordered better then the box , rectangular style that come with

Agree with you on the chrome package and your upgrades. What confused me was that it looks like the picture is at the dealer and therefore you ordered it this way. Sounds like you added the chrome mirror cover as an aftermarket/non-Ford product. Do they fit well?

I added the following from an accessories dealer ( Street Road Accessories) that we deal with and had the dealer make the swap before I picked up the truck.. The mirror caps look almost identical to the stock version... they also added:.

A 7 pin towing socket in the bed for 5th wheels

Window rain vents

a full bed rug

JackRabbit sliding cover

Titan 51 gallon fuel tank

chrome handle covers all around

They also swapped my Pullrite sliding hitch

How do you like that Jackrabbit cover? Does it tend to let water in on your bedrug? Thanks in advance!

I will tell you once I have had it a while... as of now , I love it because its all new !! The few rains we have had since I got it , for the most part the bed rug was dry. They say that the rugs are made to dry out in like 20 minutes . . ?? we shall see.! The one thing I really love is that I do not have to open the cover in order to access the tailgate like on my previous roll-N-lock...

Oh man that must have been a pain! Glad to hear this new one isn't that way!

I do not have 15 posts yet. I am trying to get 15 without making dumb posts

I know what you mean , , There is not a lot of activity on this forum for the short , occasional user... I check in every day and look for new posts ... You will probably do the same thing after time.... It seemed like I would never get to the proper post count.... In the mean time , ask your dealer.. Mine had no idea but I asked anyway... I found out HERE that is was actually on my dealers lot already....

The dealer's info hasn't changed in 3 weeks. Still shows the truck sitting at the rail yard in Shelbyville, KY. arrived there on 14 May....no update on the stutus nor can anyone at Ford tell the dealer or myself if it is there or why it is not shipped.

cyberdman gave me my update on this forum that my truck was on a CSX train car passing threw Ohio, later that week I took that info to my dealer and asked if they could get me a rail car number... I found a way to track a specific rail car.. I was told by my dealer that my truck was not on a rail car...REALLY ????? ... the following week I asked cyberdman yet again for an update.. he responded that my truck had been at the dealer since the Thursday before... I called the dealer and asked.. They said no , not yet we will call you... AMAZINGLY within 30 minutes , I received a call , yup... a truck just pulled up with my truck on it... REALLY >?? Not sure why dealers are like that , but I am glad for this forum... I have NOT heard of any further issues with the super duties..... Look up a user that goes by blwnsmoke...he has a connection that will know if that is true or not...Cant wait to see your new truck,... Enjoy

We ordered ours in early April and had it six weeks later.

The dealer kept us current with the process from the day it was built to the day it left the factory.

Called us and said what day it would arrive and everything was accurate.

Sounds like the dealer is not serving you as they should.

I am not having trouble with the dealer....they are as frustrated as I am....even the district rep can't answer why the truck is sitting in KY at the rail head.......not can the regional Customer Service Rep....Henry Ford ought to be turning flips in his grave the way things are going at the moment...and it isn't just me...

Side note....eveh the stock orders for 2015 SD's are not on the dealer lots in this area....they have them listed if yo usearch but when you ask about them, they say it hasn't arrived yet...
