belize91
I want a limited slip but the only offer electronic locking, anyway to get that? The 9900 # GVW is an option, but costs no more, why? What is a monochmantic paint package? I have to order it to get chrome bumpers then they have a chrome package with late availablity not sure the difference They have a gooseneck option I want then there is a goose neck kit, is one installed and one not? Welcome to the Forum I have a 2014 F350 King Ranch. I love it and it is a Beast! I will try and answer what I can... 1 They only offer the Electronic Locking Axle now. (I have this, and it works great) 2. Don't know about that 3 Truck is one solid color with no Secondary Lower Accent Color. Bumpers are the secondary color, unless you order the Monochromatic Package which will apparently get you chrome bumpers. (They did not have Monochrome Package for 2014) 4. Chrome Package is some chrome accents on a few other parts of the truck (Mirrors, Running Boards, Wheels, Tie Downs, etc) (Have on mine, not sure why Late Availability) 5. The Gooseneck kit is a factory installed prep package that will allow you to either order the Fifth Wheel kit or a Removable ball hitch kit (What I have). Ice Capades, let me know if I screwed any of this up!!! Edited April 17, 2014 by danglin
Ford truck guy
The Chrome package includes - - - Chrome tow hooks . .Chrome Exhaust tip..Chrome tie downs in the bed... Chrome (upper only) mirrors.. 18" Chrome clad wheels...6" angular chrome steps . . I ordered the premium Aluminum wheels and opted NOT to take the chrome package ( 1st time ever) Nobody ever sees the bed tie downs... chrome tow hooks are ok , but not a deal breaker.. the exhaust tip does not look chrome anymore after blowing diesel exhaust for 5 years.. and I can get the upper mirrors chromed from Putco for $75.00.... blwnsmoke
You don't want limited slip. Ford's limit slip is a royal POS and doesn't work. The e-locking is far superior. Chrome package is not late availability, it is fine to order it now. What is late availability is this 20" KR rims and the monochromatic package. The mono package begins on or around May 8th. No date on the rims yet if you want the 20s. I changed my order a few days ago from a KR to the Platinum because I didn't want my truck held up because of the rims not being available. I'd say at least a month before any orders will go through with the KR 20s. I may be incorrect on the goose neck part.. The prep kit is basically the holes drilled, underbody frame and 7pin wire harness installed. Same with the 5th wheel prep kit. Then I know with the 5th wheels, you can actually buy the 5th wheel kit which is the actual hitch itself installed at the factory. I'm guessing (and this is where I may be wrong) that Ford offers a gooseneck hitch installed as well from the factory so you don't have two buy one after the fact. ice-capades
Here's a copy of the 2015 Super Duty Pickup Order Guide that should help answer the questions above. 2015 Super Duty Pick-Up Order Guide.pdf
