hopperwagonbob
From what I hear they can't get the F250,F350 right yet. Not sure what's going on.
blwnsmoke
2015 C&C trucks have been being built. Someone I was just talking to got theirs delivered a day or 2 ago. FYI - the 2015s are the same as the 2014s, no updated motor like the 2015 pickups.
rjnadwodny
Why would ford use the old version of the 6.7 in the c&c's? I was under the impression that the new 6.7 was being used across the board. They are using a 6.7 in the F650&750, is that the old motor to? What's ford thinking....... If this is fact, then when will the new 6.7 show up in the c&c's? Thx!
waloud
The 650-750 is using the new motors from the article that I have read. I don't see Ford holding back the 450 with the old motor. I know the 450 with a bed will be a later build for some reason.
rjnadwodny
Waloud, I was provided my vin # 1FDOW4HT9FEA25894 today by the dealer and all he said was the ETA for delivery was 5/31. is there anyway you can tell me if my truck is in production and if not when it would be? I would like to get the window sticker for it as well. I am trying to track its delivery since I have to arrange for the body to be put on and several other items before I can even begin to use the truck. I am just trying to get a schedule in my mind based on production and delivery. I appreciate any help you can offer. FYI, I called Ford and was able to confirm through two separate departments that the new 6.7 is being used in the C&C's. Have you built any that you can confirm that the exhaust brake button has been installed in those C&C's? waloud
Wished I had the means to track it for you. The exhaust brake is standard I believe. The 450 are ran down a different line than what I am on. I will keep my eyes open tonight(Thursday).
blwnsmoke
The c&c models for 2015 (450 and 550) are the old 6.7 with the same hp/tq rating of the 2014s. They also do not have the exhaust brake.Someone on powerstroke.org already bought a 15 and confirmed it. Also showed pics, no exhaust brake. I also confirmed it from 1 of the vendors on thedieselsite yesterday. The f450 pickup gets the new motor and exhaust, not the f450 and f550 c&C models. http://www.powerstroke.org/forum/general-6-7-discussion/731065-2015-f450-build-thread.html Edited April 24, 2014 by blwnsmoke
rjnadwodny
Thanks for the info blwnsmoke. I am upset that no one made me aware of this at the dealer or even at Ford itself! Just canceled my order which was due for delivery on 5/31. Looks like I will be ordering a pickup and then selling the bed sometime down the road. Atleast this way I will get the new motor and the options that I always wanted, rather than settle for less and get screwed for buying a C&C.
