trailfndr
I see that once more, Ford Motor company can't seem to get their heads out of their backsides and properly file our unemployment claims. As of today, my claim has not been filed for last weeks layoff and the system won't allow me to file it myself. This is money we are due, and Ford should stop screwing around and do things the right way. It the person in charge of this can't, or won't do what is right, FIRE THEM and get someone that will. lackanookey
You have to be off for 2 weeks before you can certify, try Sunday night the 13th it should work for you then.

The claim hasn't even been filed yet. Won't be able to certify until the week of the 20th now.
trailfndr
Exactly. Everyone that is laid off should have a letter from the Mich. Unemployment office by the end of the first week of layoff. When this didn't happen, I went into the site to check, The claim that SHOULD have been filed by the company last week, HAS NOT BEEN FILED. I know enough to understand that I could not certify until next week, but unfortunately for myself and everyone else, we will only be able to certify the first week, instead of both weeks as we SHOULD be doing. So now for a two week layoff, we have to certify twice, which also means that we won't get our full sub-pay until the very end of the month or later. This is BULLSHIT! Its not about the money, its about doing right by your employees.

fuzzymoomoo
Plant letter that was handed out prior to layoff said Call Marvin for the first week on April 10-11th.. Marvin for the second week on the week of April 21st. When did you get this? I never got this letter, and I certainly didn't hear anyone talking about it on the floor like normal. madime39
Here it is In the second paragraph under "Layoff Information...": Ford is saying to follow their directions to certify, and to ignore the STATE OF MICHIGAN'S directions?? That's interesting.
focusfrank
You can bet this is going to get screwed up again and as usual Ford will blame the state for the screw up. All of these supposedly bs agreements that Ford makes with the state and they wonder why people claim weeks they don't rate. Keep this shit simple, stop with these special agreements so not to confuse everyone. Make it so we have to be off for 2 weeks before we can call MARVIN. madime39
Just talked to UIA, they said if Ford hasn't filed the claim by Friday to call back then and I'll still be able to certify on Monday. Call the Employer Filed Claims # at 866-845-0047. It's hard to get through (big surprise).
