madime39
When filing an unemployment claim online, did anyone select "Add an employer", and have to add your hire date, occupation code, past layoffs, etc? Or do we not select "Add an employer"?? Thanks!
qwertyuiop
Ford should automatically file your claim for you. The only thing you should have to do is certify with MARVIN (either by phone or online). I've never known Ford to not file a claim for us during a mass TLO.
trailfndr
Ford should automatically file your claim for you. The only thing you should have to do is certify with MARVIN (either by phone or online). I've never known Ford to not file a claim for us during a mass TLO. Now if they would just file the claims on time...but NO...they wait a full week so when you are off two weeks, you can only certify the first week, and have to call again the following week. Must save them some money somewhere... Its total bullshit. Mich. Unemployment states that you must file the first week you are laid-off, and somehow Ford feels they don't have to follow these same rules? And they have the Audacity to pass out a notice telling you to do it Fords way, and to disregard what the Unemployment office says? Talk about arrogant bullshit!! madime39
I received the claim letter via MiWam @ the UIA website this morning. The letter says to certify the week of the 21st, but I was able to certify today. The UIA does contradict themselves: the website says to file a claim during the first week of layoff, but the man I spoke with yesterday said Ford would file this week (which they did). Just hoping this won't be a repeat of November's layoff.
trailfndr
If you have to call twice for a 2 week layoff, its already the fiasco that November was.

madime39
This was sent to me this week.. I was given an almost identical list a month ago. Mine doesn't include the week of 8/11, but does include two weeks in October and one week in November. Obviously nothing is definite until it's confirmed. We'll see...
