I saw the front end blurred photos that are on Edmunds.com and it looks like a great challenger to the Equinox. I heard rumors of a June 2014 Job#1. I assume Oakville will build it. Anybody have info on its new features.. like engine and powertrain? I hope they keep the price in line with current models. NickF1011 Posted October 28, 2013 Share Posted October 28, 2013 The Edge does not compete with the Explorer as they are two different segments. Directly? No. Indirectly? Sure they do. The only major difference between them is 2 or 3 rows. Plenty of people buy Explorers who never use the third row. The Edge could very well be appealing to them in some ways. Why cant it be offered with all exterior colors? I had a blue explorer eddie bauer with the tan seats and it was beautiful. njcarman Posted December 5, 2014 Share Posted December 5, 2014 Does anyone know when you can order / take delivery of a 2015 with the drivers package? (Adaptive cruise, etc). Last I saw it was marked late availability. Has anyone seen anything else on this or would anyone have an educated guess as to when one could expect to be able to take delivery on a car with this option? I am in need of a new vehicle and trying to hold out for the 2015 Edge (although the value side of me is finding the deals on the 2014 tempting). Any information greatly appreciated.
